Tuesday August 10th and Wednesday August 11th, My Birthday Trip! :)

It was my 24th birthday, and I decided to celebrate it where else but Cedar Point. :) We decided to do a 2 day trip, because that is the best way to do it in my opinion.

We left a bit late on Tuesday and arrived at the park around 5pm. I was dissapointed that we got there so late, but we had other things that had to be taken care of first.

We headed straight to Gemini and rode blue train front seat and won. :) Great ride like usual.

Next we headed over to Magnum and rode front seat. I wanted to ride again, but we had limited time and wanted to hit a few more of the coasters..so we decided MF would be next.

The line wasn't too bad. About 45 minutes. We waited for front seat, and it was awesome like usual. MF's airtime still makes me want to run to Magnum though. Nothing can compare to Magnum's airtime.

We rode Raptor next. We waited for the front. The line wasn't too bad eathier. It was an okay ride. It always differs for me on Raptor. It was pretty fun, just not as amazing as it could have been.

It was getting close to closing time so we headed back to the car to have a few drinks and experience the park in a different kind of view. ;) Don't worry..we had a designated driver to drive us back to the hotel.

We wanted to ride MF as our last ride of the night like usual, but it was MY birthday trip..so we picked Magnum instead. :) I am glad that we did too. Maybe it was the alcohol, but this time my friends LOVED it. They have always liked it, but not nearly as much as me.

We had just enough time to ride it twice, but that is because we waited for the front both times. There is nothing like having your hands up and flying out of your seat down that first drop.

From there we headed back to our hotel. We booked too late, so we didn't get a CP resort. :( We had to drive a bit to get to the Comfort Inn on Milan road.

Very nice hotel. The lobby was beautiful, the staff was friendly, and the pool/hot tub stayed open until 2am. They also had a tiki bar..so I think that is why the pool stayed open so late.

The hotel rooms themselves are a bit small, but pretty clean. The bathroom was spotless and bleached out, which is really important to me when staying at a hotel.

The next morning they offered a complimentary breakfast. I was expecting the usual cereal, fruit, maybe some sort of hot food sitting under heat lamps.

I was wrong. They actually had waffle Irons, and batter. They were very easy to use too. You just poured in the batter and flipped the device. They timed themselves as well. If I had one of these at home that was this easy to use, I would make waffles all the time!

Since we stayed up so late the night before, we only got to the park around noon. We headed straight for Magnum. We didn't want to wait for front because the line was already a 45 minute wait, and we wanted to get in as many rides that day as possible.

Magnum must have been mad at me or something, because it sure did beat me up twice during the day. I was riding with my hands up, and after the third hill I felt like my shoulder was going to be torn out of the socket. So I rode with my left arm up, and my right arm ( the arm that I was having an issue with) down. lol.

We decided that we would just work our way from the back of the park to the front riding whatever was in our path that we chose too. My cousin had never tryed Woodstock Express, so we headed there.

Bad idea, because it took forever since they had to load all of the little kids and everything that goes along with that. It was still a fun ride though, just not worth the wait.

Next we hit Gemini. We decided to race. My sister and I rode blue front seat, and my cousin rode red. It was a lot of fun racing against someone we actually knew. We kicked my cousin's butt. :)

Next we were going to ride the swings, and then Maverick..but it started pouring. We took a break to eat. We had 2 of the personal pizzas. $7 each. It wasn't too bad though. $14 to fill up the 3 of us.

We also asked for larger cups to have our ice water in, since we would be drinking it with our lunch. He couldn't give us the Pepsi cups of course, but he gave us the larger red party cups.

By this time it was coming down hard. I do not mind walking in the rain at all, but we would have gotten drenched. We booked it for the train station, and waited for the next train. It took a while for it to come. Do they not run the train while it is raining?

We took the train to the front of the park, and a few of the carnival rides were running. We rode Matterhorn and the race horses. The race horses are so cute, how they actually seem that they are racing eachother. My cousin loved it, because she loves horses.

We saw that Raptor was testing, so we went over there and the line was unbelievable. It was actually reaching almost outside of the queue. I knew the reason for the long like was because when it rains they do not allow new guests coming into the line inside of the station.. but it still looked too long for us.

We decided to ride Blue Streak instead, and save Raptor for later. We got into line and it started pouring again. We were lucky to be under something, because it was like someone was dropping buckets of water.

The rain only lasted about 20 minutes, and then we finally got to ride. We rode front seat and this little coaster never ceases to amaze me. We rode it twice, because I couldn't get enough of the airtime. :) It always makes me laugh too, because anything knocking you around like that is funny.

My cousin really wanted to ride Wicked Twister, so went there next. The last time I rode it was 5 years before, and I remember not liking it at all. But back then I didn't like half of the stuff at the park that I do now.

So I gave it another try, and that was a bad idea. The ride itself was amazing. I loved looking down, and it felt like I was flying. But after a few times being pushed and then going up and down the twists, I was not feeling too well at all. I am very lucky that the ride ended when it did, because I was 2 seconds away from losing my lunch.

Once I got off the ride I was feeling better, so we went to check out Raptor's line. It was still too long for our liking so we waited for my cousin to ride MaxAir, and then headed back to the car.

We took a break at Subway. Still very expensive. $30 for the 3 of us, 3 6 inch subs and one $5 pepsi to split. But it was a nice break from the heat, and we didn't have to leave to park to waste time.

When we got back into the park we rode Magnum 2 more times, both in the front seat. The second time is when Magnum beat me up again. On the last 3 bunny hills my leg was getting pinched by the lap bar and seat belt.

By the third bunny hill I was scared. lol. When I got off I looked and had a bruise where I was being pinched. You know that a coaster is your favorite when it beats you up, and you just keep going back for more. haha.

From there we took the sky ride to Raptor, and the line was finally reasonable. We rode front seat, and it was amazing this time. :) We wanted to ride again, but it was getting close to closing time so we headed to MF.

The line was about an hour wait, and another 20 minutes for the front. We rode front seat, red train, and it was a great way to end a great birthday trip.

Next trip will hopefully be another 2 day trip for Halloweekends, and I cannot wait! :)

Sounds like a good trip. Nothing like a couple of drinks to give you a different perspective of the park. :)

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

No Dragster?

I don't care too much for Dragster. Since we got there late the first day, it wasn't an actual 2 day trip. If we had more time, we may have squeezed it in there..but there was other stuff I'd rather ride.
