Tuesday 6/29

I will be here on Tuesday, June 29th to "finally" see "Everyone Loves Snoopy", as well as ride "Shoot the Rapids" and relax at Soak City for a few hours.

The weather is only supposed to be a high of 72 degrees, and into the high 40's and breezy at night!! Bring along your lightweight sweaters and jackets, I guess!

Sounds like perfect weather. I just want to lounge around and RELAX!! (even though I just got back from a weeklong vacation and leave again in 2 weeks...HA!!).

Does anyone know if there will be any special passholder perks on Tuesday? I haven't heard anything via Facebook, Twitter or here and was hoping they may have something. Keep me posted.

It doesn't look like there is an ERT scheduled for night time but there is still normal morning ERT. We would have probably heard by now if there was something planned but there are still all the normal benefits. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/admission/season_passes/point_perks.cfm

I checked out Everyone Loves Snoopy on Saturday, and thought the show was pretty good. I especially liked the airconditioning on a 90 plus day. hahaha I also suggest All Wheels Extreme. I saw it for the first time Saturday, and will make a note to try and see it again on my other visits. Was a great show. Hope you have a good day, weather sounds pretty good (not too hot).

yeah the shows thus far have surprised me. I LOVED the country show and HATED the island show...and here I thought it would be the 'exact' opposite.

As a veteran community theater performer and current high school director- I am "not" impressed at ALL with the quality/level of entertainment this year. I miss plot driven shows with larger casts like "Soda Shop Bop", "Rockin' 'Round the Point", "...Maverick & Molly", etc.

The Peanuts gang, however, have always surprised me and made me smile. Can't go wrong with Snoopy. Too bad that they can't get the licensing & copyrights from B'way's "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" & do an 'abridged' version in the park. That would be fun!

As far as the weather, thank GOD for a reprieve. It will be refreshing to have a relaxing day in the 70's after all those muggy 90 degree days. I'm excited. Lounging in the lazy river sounds perfect to me. Then onwards to meet up with old co-workers/friends after 5pm for dinner.

so...went to Soak City yesterday morning. The parking lot was almost at maximum capacity @ 10:30am!! WTF?? I went inside and it was empty, which was pure, unadulterated heaven. I went to the sunbathing area and just fell asleep for a solid hour or so. Perfection.

Totally forgot that I had my cell phone, keys, anti-bac spray, etc..plus forgot my towel (what was I thinking?) and didn't want to waste $8 on a locker,..so I just wore my shorts inside & carried everything with me & didn't ride the waterslides. Next time maybe I need caffeine & half a brain before I leave the house.

Then went to the park, thinking I'd go see "Everyone Loves Snoopy". Wow...cutbacks!! They are down to "3" shows a day. Seriously...Snoopy must have a really good agent. They typically do 6 shows a day. Anyways, my time constraints didn't permit me to sit and wait because I was going to see a movie in town @ 2:10pm.

Sat by the petting zoo where a rooster got loose (insert dirty comment here) and walked around aimlessly. This happens every time I go to the park. Hilarious. He really does NOT want to be there!

Walked over and checked out "Shoot The Rapids". There was a mild line of perhaps a 15 minute wait. Not bad. None of the boats were completely full. It was fun to watch kids put quarters in the machines and push the geysers. I didn't realize that you 'really get wet' on this ride. I was thinking you'd get a light misting...but you get drenched!

It was already 1:30pm and time to head to Car-Mike Cinemas behind Sandusky Mall. Totally go there on a Tuesday afternoon- matineees are only $7 and popcorn/sodas are $1!!!! That was a great discovery!! I watched "Grown Ups" (Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, Kevin James, etc.) and then picked up a friend after work and headed to Crocker Park for some pizza on the patio.

Hopefully heading back this weekend for the Fireworks on Sunday.

The rooster was loose again today... It was being chased down the midway by kids... Quite a sight indeed.

PS -- Shouldn't this be in the Trip Reports section as opposed to the Trip Planning? I'm guessing it was a simple mistake. If I had magic moderator dust, I would take care of this for you... but unfortunately, I'm all out.

It's even funnier if the rooster or chickens get out and go into the bathrooms across from Pet Farm. People seem to get a little alarmed when poultry walks in on them doing their business.

when I was there about 2 weeks ago, the girl working @ the Farm approached the chicken and said "C'mon..back in your pen" and it literally shook its head 'no'.

She had to scoop it up in her arms and pet it to get it back.

Someone's always gotta have their cock out.

ROFL. Okay, that was probably too baldy for Pointbuzz, but I laughed my arse off anyway.

Last weekend I happened to follow the roosters as he went to the Character stand near the mill house. He went up on the counter and sat in the corner. The employee there said he does that alot.
