TTD on tv

I always think back to Test Track at Epcot. That was a year and a half (or longer) late

I remember that, how dose Test Track launch anyway?

Test Track is not a launched ride. Each car drives independently and has two (I believe) on board computers that run all of the systems. It is an extremely complex ride. The computers on each car talk to each other and to the main control (operator) room.

There is a solution. If you don't like what is happening, don't return to the park. This whole "Cedar Point isn't treating us good" attitude is lame. They are doing everything possible to get the ride operating. I guess they could just close it down and try again next year but this isn't the company that does that.

Dawson asked what is everyone's problem with Six Flags? I think most here are Cedar Point fans so there is a natural tendency to bad mouth the arch rival. I've beeen to Six Flags Ohio, Texas, Fiesta, and Astroworld. I didn't think Ohio or Texas was that bad, but Astroworld is the absolute pits. If you drive over the Causeway in the middle of the day CP is a picture of motion, rides moving, etc. Drive by Astroworld and it's hard to tell if the park is open or not. Down time is awful, I haven't been that much but everytime I have gone more than one ride has not been open and many don't open until mid afternoon. Fiesta has had the same problems on my visits but not as bad.

Not to go off-topic, but I thought Test Track was a very cool ride. One of my favorite Disney attractions.

One thing I wish CP would do. Put a page on their web site listing rides that are to be closed for the day. I have seen other parks do it. That way you can go to the page before you leave for the park, and if something is going to be closed, you can stay home. Instead going to the park, and then pissing and moaning about it on GTTP.
The thing is, CP rarely has rides that are closed for the day - that's what puts it head and shoulders above most other parks. Rides may close down for certain time intervals (hours) during the day but they almost always open at least some time. It takes a major problem for a ride to be closed down for the day at CP, and that's what's happening with Dragster.

You ask and you shall receive. Just saw this in another thread. All I meant is that if a ride is going to be down for an entire day or longer, they could post a message on their site to cut back on the whining. They have done it!!

I know it is rare for something to be down for an extended amount of time. Hearing people say CP owes them something because TTD is down is getting old real fast!!

I do enjoy cedar point a lot more than six flags, but i can't speak for all of them because i have only been to Worlds of Adventure, but i really enjoy both parks. It just doesn't make sense that everyone always bashes six flags
