My Dream: When I die.... I want to die on a coaster at Valleyfair or Cedar Point!
Update: Most of the ride ops are in the station, looks like they are filling dummies up and checking restraints. The operating booth is occupied now. I'm almost certain we'll be seeing TTD return to operation today.

That like a restuarant advertising a new dish on TV. The customer goes to eat there wanting that dish. Waitress says they dont have any and calls them stupid for expecting them to have it? Whats the difference?
Wow, this thread is replete with bad analogies today. Your's simply doesn't make sense, because a restaurant patron goes into a restaurant expecting a single meal, not 16. You pay for a specific meal, as opposed to paying entry into, say, an all-you-can-eat buffet. That's a better analogy, and I would say it would be absurd for a patron at an all-you-can-eat buffet to complain if the buffet is out of crab legs when there are 66 other items to choose from, 15 of them being main courses.
(And even given your analogy, restaurants run out of particular courses all the time, especially daily specials and what not. It is silly to complain then, too.)
The same logical fallacy applies to that Motley Fool article. But more importantly, that article fails in its assertions because the majority of CP's visitors aren't from far away, and they don't necessarily have the disposable income for repeat trips. Therefore, Dragster's downtime will have, if anything, a slightly negative effect on them by effecting their view of the park. CP gains little from having Dragster down, let alone intentionally.
The only way that is true is that if the relatively small proportion of park guests that are resort guests bring in a sufficiently disproportionate amount of revenue to make it worthwhile. But even then we would have to buy the Motley fool's premise, which I don't, since the majority of resort guests are probably familes, and the sole purpose of their trip is probably not a single coaster. So it effects them little either way. The audience this Motley fool speaks for must be incredibly small.
And therefore, it is in CP's financial best interest to get this thing up and running as soon as possible. Which I'm sure they're doing. In the meantime, it is silly to complain unless CP begins to intentionally mislead people about Dragster's status in order to lure them into the park. There's no evidence of this.

No one here knows, but my guess will be in the Friday-Sunday time frame this week. Tomorrow is possible, but unlikely.

First of all, I am just raising the question as a possibility. Also, 1000 bucks...apparently you were not at CP on Coastermania day at Coastermania times. Amusement Parks as a practice will have certain rides down on different days... YES ON PURPOSE... to try to attract return visitors that want to ride all the parks rides. Amusement Park Micoeconomics 101!

LOL, pointless bashes???? It just confirms what I thought, if you have a bad experience or are critical of CP in anyway here it will be censored. Its to bad because I thought this was a discussion board not a CP praise board. I'am not joking here, sometimes some of you do exhibit cult like behavior when it comes to CP. I'am not bashing, it is just an observation.
Also, what do you call the bashing that goes on when some expresses any type of disappointment that TTD was down? For some strange reason that is acceptable. That is all I was ever reacting to here. CP is my favorite park, I wouldnt be on this board if it wasnt. But it is not above criticism and to tell someone they cannot be disappointed or that they are dumb for being disappointed is ridiculous.

What? Have you been reading the posts around here lately? In fact, we leave a lot of crap up so you "conspiracy theorists" don't accuse us of censorship.
I didn't delete your posts and I don't know which moderator did. But, I can assure you, the reason was not censorship.

1) It was a pointless flame.
2) A lack of grammar, spelling or punctuation.
3) An obnoxiously long signature or inappropriate use of bold/italics.
4) The same tired crap we've heard over and over.
As Walt said, we don't censor things because they're critical of the park. We only censor things when you act like a nine-year old moron.
