TTD First Ride

I'm going to CP at the end of this month, and I was thinking about running to TTD right when the park opens to try to get on the first ride of the day. Are there usually a lot of resort guests that get in line for TTD near the end of their early ride time? Or do I have a chance at getting on the first train?

See, what you do is get in at the Magnum gate, and as you are walking toward TTD, make a sharp left and ride a real coaster. Don't worry this one's almost red, and the ride is much better.

Yeah I would ride Magnum before TTD.

When I went they were not even checking resort passes at the Magnum gate. Its a gamble, but if I made another trip this year I would go to the Magnum gate an hour early.

Hey, they can let you in at 7:30 into the park and there will still be tons of people waiting in the lines and flocking in the midways.......before you have a chance to get a first ride on anything.

However, one time in may me and my friend Rachel who works at the park (I stated her name because in case any of you may know her) she used to work raptor and mantis last halloween. well, we both got the first raptor ride of the day, being the only two riders on our train. It was cool.

Lol, you Magnum fans are sooo hilarious, making up lies to make an old coaster better than what it is.;)

You guys can go ahead and ride your precious Steel Headache, I'll go ride a coaster that doesnt have trains crashing into eachother.

Dvo, pay no attention to them, you don't want to start the day off with a splitting headache......trust me. To actually answer your question, yes there will be quite a few resort and Joe Cool people in line by the time you get in with the general public. So your chances of getting first train and very low. Still, I'd advise getting in line since it'll be a short wait. That way you can get Dragster out of the way and go on other coasters.....including that Molly Orange one.:)

Actually, TTD's trains have bumped together multiple times. In fact, the reason they run 5 trains is because they couldn't get the trains to run quickly enough with 6 to run more efficiently without bumping trains in unload. It might be just me, but Dragster has given me a couple headaches and Magnum has yet to.

Magnum usually has the shorter line so I'll take a spin on it more often. Given the same wait, I'd go for Dragster.

These die hard dragster fans are funny.In june my wife and son would run to dragster all three days of early entry,and me and my daughter would go our own way and would get 3 or four rides in on other coasters by the time my wife and son would get one ride on dragster.I just don't understand.

Oh yeah Adam my son did make a pretty nifty end table out of racing slick and a piece of glass.I'll try to get you a picture sometime.Him and my wife are big dragster fans too.

It's not scheduled as an early entry ride, but if testing is finished, it occasionally opens before 10.

I'm torn here. Though I don't think that Magnum will be my first ride in the morning just because the line for it is very short compared to TTD during the day. I think I'm going to hit TTD first no matter what. I'm bringing my running shoes instead of sandals this time, so I should be one of the first general public people at the ride (unless I can sneak in for early entrance) ;)

And run the risk of getting an involuntary piercing? I don't think so. ;)

Does the first train of the day really feel any different than the second, fifth or last train?

The only reason I really wanted to get on the first train is for a better chance (maybe?) of a rollback :D
