I love Dragster and all but I believe it will experience lenghty downtime again. Probably on opening day just because i'll be there.....lol...I seem to have the worst of luck.

10 mins after it opens
"If it looks good, you'll see it; if it sounds good, you'll hear it, if it's marketed right, you'll buy it; but... if it's real, you'll feel it."
TTD 120mph, I on the other hand think there will be little of those annoying breakdowns in the middle of the day but do think there will be a week where there needs to be a part replaced.

101 on Magnum and counting...
Anything is possible. The person I mentioned, that said pretty much everything major on Dragster has been fixed, said that there is still some things that will probably need to be replaced. I think he said the cable feed wheels(or whatever they're called) havn't been replaced.....so they're probably next. BUT that's not to say that they havn't already been replaced during the offseason.
I'd be good to get another news report like last year from Bryan Edwards who mentioned what had been improved on Dragster. Last year we were told that Dragster had recieved new cables and a different type of hydraulic oil.
We already know that it has new gear boxes and new.....whatever caused it to brake down for the rest of the season. So has anything else been done to get it to run even better this year?
Walt, another one of those news reports from Edwards mentioning Dragsters improvments would be good if it's possible!^_^

Even if it does, I'll still skim through the Cleveland cam to see if it ran at all. If doesnt run at all....I'll log it.
Technically, that's not really proof. If it's closed, it might test run, but that doesn't mean it gave any rides. Thus it would mean that it was closed for maintenance.
I think the chances of lengthy downtime (weeks) are minimal. But, given that almost all of the coasters close for maintenance for a couple days atleast once through out the season, I could see it happening at some point in time, but not really at the begining of the season. *** Edited 4/30/2006 12:58:18 AM UTC by DBCP***

If a train appears more than 7 times on the Cleveland cam throughout the day....I think its doing more than just testing.

Well, considering that in a normal day of operation, you can usually find it archived a few times, I guess I can agree... But I have seen it test all day and not open....

Trust me, I'm sure that if there is any problems whatsoever, someone on this board will tell everybody. And, we've been hearing since this thing's opening season that "we fixed everything major, Dragster is gonna have a great season." And so far, to no avail. I think any one who's getting their hopes up for a good season is gonna be sorely dissapointed.
