I'm gonna give it a little credit, May 14th. ;) And it's not that we hate Dragster, we all just know how reliable the piece of garbage is.

Probly on the 26th and 30th of May because the first date is my birthday and the second one is the day im going.
Im bad luck!

Think about this (all you nonbelievers), now I can't remember who said it, but someone here said that pretty much everything major on Dragster has been replaced with newer, improved parts. Keep that in mind. And for that reason, I feel it won't have major downtime.

Downtime, yes, but nothing major.

I'll laugh if it doesn't break down at all. I still say last year was it's best yet, imo. Those gear boxes were bound to "go"....seeing that their instalation was rushed.

You know what, I'm going to keep a log on how many days out of the year it's closed. Then you'll all see!! >:-)

I have faith in Dragster this year.

This is pathetic and makes me a little upset. You're betting on when a ride will go down due to downtime from maintenance.

Stupid.

How about we all hope and pray Dragster has another good year rolling off of last year, as it improves each year?

Unless it rains for 9 days straight, TTD will be entering its best season yet and I don't think it'll have any major downtime at all.

I also believe it'll run its best on May 7 (afternoon) & May 8 (all day). Although it could decide to rollback or get stuck on the top when I'm on it, that wouldn't be the worse thing in the world. :)

I am going to say July 5th. Right after a long night on the Fourth Of July.

By something major, do you mean one day or more?

If so I would have to say within the first 2 weeks.

2 or 3 days at minimum.

I'm thinking that when it says TTD will not be open today I'm thinking that that counts.

Even if it does, I'll still skim through the Cleveland cam to see if it ran at all. If doesnt run at all....I'll log it.

But it would really help if the station cam was still up.:)

Since, I was the topic starter, and people are questioning what counts....let me be more specific...When do you think TTD will experience maintenance issues that will require a ride shut down of at least 8 hours. (had to set the limit somewhere)

If it's the Top Thrill Dragster I've come to know it won't work May 6th, that's me. The guy who goes every year and hasn't seen it run with people in it.

For a real prediction I would say the second or third week. I think strong winds facing into it can keep it down so it could be as simple as that...

AND if its the Top Thrill Dragster I'VE come to know, it WILL work May 6th! :)
