The only thing wrong with TTD is they let too many people into the station at a time. Other than that, I LOVE DRAGSTER! :)

Yeah I think that TTD should let as many people in the station as they do with the Millennium. It would be much easier.
Total Maverick rides for the 2007 season = 27
Top 5--- 1. Maverick- 2. Millennium 3. Magnum 4. TTD 5. Gemini
Cavs- 2007 Eastern Conference Champions!.-
Millennium Force was only letting the next train's worth of people in on opening weekend.
I'm guessing when they have the staff to man the turnstile they organize the station, otherwise it's just a free for all.
eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!
Ride on, MrScott!
^^....you mean only let soo much in at a time....not, let in as many as possible......right?
The station was organized all of Friday and I loved it. Millennium, on the other hand, was packed and I had to stop at the turnstiles to let a few train full of people go before entering.
Situating it so that a party of 6 can get on the same train on every coaster is hard.;)
And yes Bryan, if there's nobody at the turnstiles, people just cram into any possible open space until not ONE person can move. Do they care? Sadly no...... *** Edited 5/20/2007 3:42:49 PM UTC by TTD 120mph***

When I was at Magic Mountain, I saw something I never had before. On Deja Vu (and only Deja Vu), people were stopping at the turnstile on their own after one train worth of people went into the station. There was no ride op at the turnstile either. It was the strangest thing I had ever seen - especially at Six Flags. But, the entire time we were in line, this happened. I wonder what made this coaster unique?
I'm with Adam though. I'll hold up for a couple minutes while the station clears out.

If I was there and on the speaker, I'd probably go down in Cedar Point history as most enthused Dragster spieler ever. lol ;)
I'd have to agree that you would probabbly be the most enthused ride op at Dragster. On your worst day, you might just tone down to the average ride op's best day :)
Seriously, though, the Dragster Crew was doing a great job on Opening day.
Going back to the topic on partially loaded trains, What I'm tyring to figure out is why they load the front of the train only. Loading only the front of the train would shift the center of mass (CM) forward. However, I don't see how shifting the CM forwrad would help the train over the top any. If the train were launched a little too slow, the CM would, in an ideal world, stop at the same point on the tower. The only thing I can think of is that if the CM is a little bit forward, its a little harder for the wind to push the train back.

I just got back from the park today and was impressed by Dragster's crew. The line moved along quickly and there weren't more than three trains' worth of people in the station at a time.
The crew worked quickly but was also very thorough in checking all the restraints and belts.
I was in the queue for the front seat at about 1:15 when it temporarily went down for mechanical reasons. The crew handled the crowd well as they had to get the people already loaded in the trains off and back behind the gates.
My train (6 trains later) was the last to go before it went down again around 1:30. A rideop named Rebecca came over as soon as it was apparent that the ride was down and made conversation with most of the train as we waited behind the unloading platform. She didn't stay over with us for the entire half hour but she did her best to explain that they didn't know how long we'd sit there and that the entire ride can go down for really simple things. I liked that she had come over.
The only negative about my ride (minus the downtime and being stuck in the train) was that there was what appeared to be dried blood on the silver piece that goes between your legs. I tried to come up with another explanation for what it was but came up with nothing. I know the ride ops are incredibly busy but can't help but wonder how they didn't notice somebody bleeding as they got off and cleaned it up. Not really a big deal, like I said, there's plenty to worry about but since I got to look at it for that extra half-hour, I started to wonder how it happened and how long it had been there.
All that being said, your crew definitely gets an A. Keep it up.
Jen - aside from the fact that your ride is a piece - nice job! All day, as soon as the second train crossed the finish line, I heard the clear. So congrats, and see ya soon!
Keep me off spiels and away from unload, and you've got yourself an A. ;-) haha Justttt kidding.

Can I also request a rollback?
The thing is, what does a 14 year old coaster enthusiast want, ROLLBACKS, and I have never experienced one but from all the times I have seen it happen is looks so cool.
So when you see the 14 year old with the Stratacoasters.com t-shirt wave or if your wanna be really nice make the train I'm on roll back.
Good Luck on the season Jen

Asking for a rollback is like asking a teacher for an A when all you did was fill in the circles of the test to the outline of a smiley face.:)

Hey Captain Jen,
A few kudos for the outstanding crew performance on Sunday night (the 10th). We were in line for Maverick around 9:30 pm when it went down for the standard mechanical troubles. TTD had been down for a while that evening, and while we doubted that it would open that late on a Sunday night, we decided to chance it and left the Maveirck line. To our delight we saw a test train launch as we approached, and we were told that they were getting set to open the ride... and it was 9:45 pm! Anyway, we got on, had a great ride and as we were exiting the ride at 10pm, were told to go back in line as TTD was staying open for a while! Awesome!
There was another short delay as something else caused a reset, but Brad did his best to entertain the folks on the platform with 15 minutes of standup. Everyone on the crew was friendly, enthusiastic and professional... you guys certainly earned an "A" that evening.
Anyway, whether it was for benefit of folks from the GBRCC, us humble resort guests or for whatever reason, thanks again for the great capping of the evening. We noted that TTD was still running at 11PM from our vantage point in a hottub at the Breakers.
A big thanks to the maintenance crew as well.
Giant Wheel alum from a loooong time ago.
I had a similar experience last Thursday night. I got off my last Maverick ride around 9:35 or so, and headed for TTD, hoping for at least one ride. I got in line around 9:45 and to my surprise, the line was only in the station. I hopped into the shortest line, and within a few short minutes I was riding.
The crew was doing a fantastic job hitting interval that night. As soon as a train cleared the top, the next train in pre-launch was moved up and ready to go. As soon as it launched and cleared the top, the next two loaded trains in the station were moving out to pre-launch.
I got off and ran back to the entrance to get in before the line closed. When I got off that time, I just waited at the exit to see if they needed riders for the final trains. They did, and I ended up on the final train of the night. I couldn't believe I got 3 rides getting in line at 9:45.
Keep up the great work! Can't wait for nighttime ERT on Friday!!
The TTD crew is FANTASTIC this year. Not only are they quick and efficient, they're amusing. I think Dragster's line was moving much faster than MF's and was giving Magnum's a run for it's money. Keep it up!
It's called Millennium Force, not "Millenium" Force. Thanks.
Yeah, cant say much more than keep it up everyone!
And it was great meeting ya saturday Jen.:)

I am impressed by the consistant dispatching of the trains. There is almost no lag between dispatching the next 2 after the preceding train clears the block. Keep up the great work.

Hi Jen.
I was at the park on June 6, and I looked around for either you or Kristy Jo, but I didn't see either of you off hand. Anyway, I rode twice. Before the first ride at about 2:00, it looked like TTD was running beautifully, but it broke down for about 20 minutes while I was in line. It broke down for about a half hour the 2nd time I was in line. Nonetheless I still got on in about 45 minutes both times. The crew was doing fantastic controlling crowds. I was a single rider and I barely had to wait at all when I got to the platform. Great Job!
