That's fine, but why is Dragster singled out? Magnum, MF and Raptor were all letting the stations get as crowded as possible.
MF was very organized on Saturday and Sunday.
They were only letting one train's worth of people up to the queue at a time.
eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!
Ride on, MrScott!
I have one concern...Why, especially after the trains started making it over more consistently, were only the first three rows of trains being loaded? Other than that, I was impressed.
Hi Jen. We came out to the park for ERT on TTD for Joe Cool members. 7-8 P.M. Was it cancelled or changed? The girl at the entrance didn't know anything about it. It's listed on C.P. website for JC benefits.

From the CP blog:
"Just a head's up - tonight's Joe Cool Club Exclusive Ride Time has been switched from TOP THRILL DRAGSTER to MILLENNIUM FORCE due to weather conditions. Joe Cool Club ERT is from 7 - 8 p.m."
It was a tough day for TTD today. Between rain and wind, it still ran very well when it could. The line was moving slowly just because they spent a large portion of the afternoon filling trains half full so they wouldn't have constant rollbacks. It ran consistently, though. The crew was doing a great job.

Wow guys! Great response so far... a few things i would like to touch on.
- I will call Technical Services and see what I can do about the speakers, in the pre season I know the PA system was rather sketchy, so they might have messed with some volume controls.
- Unfortunately that was NOT me in the rollback video! That was a girl on my crew named Jenny. I have been working at the park for four years and I am on ZERO rollbacks.... *no im not bitter* I'm working on it!
- As for the station situation. Dragster's platform is a lot shallower than Maggies, which means lines can be more single file than my station allows. Although I have noticed that we need to put a few more people up there so we can fill our single seats easier.
- ERT. As you probably saw, we were having lots of issues with the weather, just like the site said. I mean, as much as I know you all would have LOVED constant rollbacks... it just wasnt going to work out so well. So I am thinking they will just switch ours and Millennium's. So maybe when that comes around I can see you on TTD.
- I will definitely address the issue of not talking to the rollback-ees to make sure they are okay. That is standard procedure just like checking your trains and I will make sure I pound that into their heads.
Thanks so much for everything so far!.... Keep it comin!!!!

A related question- does the crew for each ride get bigger later in the summer as more employess become available? The crowded stations are better controlled when someone's sitting at the turnstile. On Monday Millenium and Raptor's entrances to the stations were left "unguarded"-so to speak. Though the stations didn't become totally crazy, there was some of the mayhem of people confused as to where to go, overcrowding on the front seat of Raptor's line. I like it when the stations only have two or three trains' worth or people in them at a time.
By the way, it's great to see a team leader this eager to please the guests. I haven't been on TTD yet this year, but I'm sure the experience will be great with someone who cares this much leading the team. Have a great season, Jen.
Even though ERT tonite was changed to MF, I still managed 3 rides in the last hour before the park closed. Once you started running the trains with the last 2 rows empty, the trains kept moving consistently.
I haven't had a chance to witness all the new crew members at spiel, but so far I'd say Kristy Jo is doing an awesome job. She's really got a lot of enthusiasm.
It's really great to see you and the crew getting involved here with your riders. I'm really looking forward to another great season on TTD! Keep up the good work!
Yeah I am very interested in pleasing the guests, I mean, that is the job right?! Hahaha. The crew doesnt know about this thread either, I am trusting you guys as my own personal spies. I mean, if the crew sees management on platform they are going to act differently. I want a whole new fresh opinion on things.
Kristy is awesome. The thing about her, is that she is HAPPY to be at work. Her enthusiasm is one hundred and ten percent contagious.

If I was there and on the speaker, I'd probably go down in Cedar Point history as most enthused Dragster spieler ever. lol ;)
ltrain2006, any time you see them only launching half filled or ___# rows is due to weight.
Hopefully the weather works out well tomorrow and Dragster runs great! I know you guys will do everything you can to have it running as much as possible. I'll see you guys tomorrow and make sure to say hi on my many rides!:)

For those of us that have spieled an entire summer, It is extremely difficult to maintain a positive attitude and enthusiasm. The ride and spiel becomes so monotonous that we have to find other ways to become enthusiastic. For instance, "messing" around with the guest in a joking matter, or adding a few creative adjectives to the spiel.
One thing I do need to say to those who want ride hosts to be perky 100% of the time is to think about your own job when you're having a bad day or things aren't going the way you expected them to. You're not going to be up to speed, and therefor you shouldn't expect the ride hosts to be either all the time. But I do agree there is a cut off line for "attitude checks".
I'm too sexy for my harness!
I guess Im perfect for the job then since I'm required to be perky ALL THE TIME at my job. ;)

Seen as how one of my roommates down here is on your crew, I am a bit partial to say that you guys rock this year. I've met quite a few of them, and am looking forward to a great season with my fellow Intamin buddies. ;)

After spending the past 3 days at the Point from Toronto, I have to say the Dragster crews were awesome the entire time. We stuck out the technical problems on Tuesday night and finally got the second last ride around 8:30. The entire time in the station, the crew joined in conversations and helped keep spirits up! They even helped with directions of how to get to some restaurants we were looking for. Jen, I just want to thank you and the TTD crew for making my friend's first trip to the Point an amazing one.
Love the dead weight line at night. I kinda feel bad sometimes when we have just enough people on the platform and cant let people up.... but cest la vie....

Did you know that Miker from Dragster last year and I are engaged? I guess you could say we are keeping her (Dragster) in the family!!!
