TTD -vs- CP reputation

I've even seen many pics floating around on the internet which show people in the grand stands looking at it while its closed (not just normal downtime closed for the day with no activity). Now that's one interesting ride.;)

Thrills Around the Corner!

Dragster is a great ride when it is open, but the park without dragster is still fantastic. Quit complaining!

It may be for some....but a CP with no Dragster is a huge let down for some of us fans.
^^It's more than just a place to stand and watch the trains launch. It's also the parks largest bench and only place at the park where you can get something to eat right where youre sitting.:)

And there has been people who stand on the grandstands when its down for the day........not counting me or Craig.:)

I think my favorite spot to rest was the TTD grandstand. I was sitting there with an orange snowcone waiting for my dad to get back from the bathroom so we could get on TTD and just watching those trains go up and down and thinking that I was gonna be on them soon. Definitely a great memory. Not as great as going down MF's drop, though. ;)

There has only been 2 times i have been to the point since ttd started operating and didnt get to ride it. I think the negativity about this ride always being unreliable is often exagerated.

Yeah, everyone at my old school says that it is horrible. One kid even told me they were taking it down after last year.

You can't get away with not calling TTD unreliable after its terrible performance in 2003 and late 2005. You're very lucky if you haven't had a time where TTD refused to run on one of your visits to the park. Thankfully like someone else said, CP is a great park with or without TTD running.

It's sort of late (but better than never), but the ride seems to be at rather stable state and I'm happy to see that. Intamin had one huge mess up with the blocking system that will always hurt the ride and, like we saw last week, the cables will always show wear and tear after a while and will break.

One thing that really gets me excited about the ride this year is that they seem to have very little trouble with rollbacks or the entire launch system for that matter. This is something that has caused weeks of downtime in the past and has yet to cause any noticeable issues this year. (knock on wood)

Now let's all wait and see how long it takes for djDaemon to come around and say something like:

- "Craig and Adam say the ride is running 100%."

He just can't deal with the fact of something positive being said about the ride. I clearly haven't said anything false in this post, but he'll beg to differ.

Positivity about Dragster is bashed more than the ride itself.:)

I completely agree with you though, Craig.
