Trip To The Point on 8/13

This would be my second trip to the Point this year. We arrived at the park around 9:50. The park seemed very crowded for a Wednesday, and EVERYTHING had waits. First we rode Wicked Twister in the back row, awesome! No more than a 10 minute wait. We then watched TTD launch a train, and it rolled back. It launched 2 more times, which also rolled back. We hopped on the red side of Power Tower with a 10 minute wait. We then got in line for Magnum, and a train made it over the top of TTD!!!! Magnum had a 15 minute wait, and something smelled like crap in the waiting line. Anyways, the ride seemed smoother than usual. We then looked at Dragster and saw a train launch WITH PEOPLE ON IT! We took a ride on Gemini real quick, 10 minute wait (why does this always walk-on ride have a wait this year?). We grabbed something to eat and rode Cedar Creek Mine Ride, walk-on. We decided to skip Mean Streak due to the 1 hour wait. I was mad because I actually like this ride. We hopped in line for Millennium Force and waited about 1 hour, being entertained by DJ Fat Man. He was awesome. While we were in the last set of mazes before the ramp, a car got stuck on the hill. We waited about 20 minutes and it got goin again. I rode in the second row, and it was the best ride I've ever had on it. We decided to also skip Mantis and Iron Dragon because they both had waits too long for the rides they give. Wildcat was down all day. We ate again and then decided to get in line for TTD. When I asked the attendant how long the wait was she said "between 2 and 6 hours". Nice margin of time. We waited about an hour and the line moved surprisingly fast, and they were crankin those trains through that ride. Things were looking good until an announcement was made that the ride was down. We waited it out, and about 45 minutes later, it opened. They were still not loading the last row of the trains. We got into the station and got in the black cherry train. As we are getting ready to depart, the bars fly open. The operator announces "load last row of black cherry". I thought to myself we would for sure rollback. Anyways, on to the ride. The launch was the most incredible thing I have ever experienced in my life. The trip up the tower was awesome, and the view at the top was undescribable. When we hit the brakes at the end, I could not stop laughing. I bought my picture, even though I looked retarted, just to prove to people I actually got on this thing. We then rode Blue Streak in the back, walk-on, and Raptor in the front car, 30 minute wait, and decided to head home around 8:30. Overall, a good day at the Point, and, I GOT TO RIDE DRAGSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a great trip! I'm surprised Mean Streak had such a wait. But, I'm with you. I love that ride.

Great trip report, I hope it's not that busy for my trip! I'm still probobly going to ride just about everything no matter what the wait is, because it'll be my first time ever there and it will probobly be a couple years before I get to go back. Too bad about the hour wait for Mean Streak, even with all the bad things I've heard about the ride, I still can't wait to get on it! Does that make me a freak? lol.
