TRIP REPORT JUNE 2ND AND 3RD

My trip to C.P. not too bad, but a few minor problems. First of all, I stayed at Breakers express with admission package: worth the price for what you got. 2 Starlight tickets, 2 one day admissionsn parking pass, and the 2 nights stay. The hotel was very new looking and clean, not a complaint to be had.

On monday, starlight passes, park was very slow, I did not have to wait for any ride for over approx 45 min and that was Maverick. Still not too bad. I am 6'4" and 270 lbs. med to large build had no problem fitting onto MF ,seat belts were close but i was comfortable. Next I proceded to TTD waited maybe 20 min. I did not fit and was about 1 inch short of the belt closing, but it had nothing to do with my belly, It was the width of my hips.( I guess I have more weight to lose) The ride operator was very nice and helped me, then said it just won't go and politely said sorry and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day. It was sad but the operator was friendly.

Maverick very cool, No problems fitting on the ride. My only complaint is after riding my shoulders hurt a little and they were bruised, btw I was not holding on at all, my arms up the whole time. I guess this allowed me to bang around a little from side to side through the twisted track. Next couple of times I held on to keep me from moving alot. I have got to say Maverick was my new favorite, really enjoyed the airtime.

Max air is better at CP than Delirium at KI this is due to the length of the ride cycle being longer. Sky Hawk on the other hand, ride cycle way too short, we got one full swing at maximum height, then it was over. Not worth it. Longer ride cycle maybe a better ride.

The food was awful at CP. I wanted a corn dog and the batter was too thin, so it was not sticking to the dog. I waited at least 15 mins and 4 trys later it was o.k. My uncle ordered pizza and the pizza's cheese was not even melted all the way, clumps of cheese everywhere. For $12 at least melt the darn cheese, this is not acceptable. Even on day 2 my soft pretzel was cold and almost no salt on it. I just chalked it up to early season mistakes and rookies operating the food stands. Still as much as you pay for the food at least have it hot.

My trip, I'll give a good grade A- Improve the food service and I might grade higher next time.

A few minor points:

A) Most employees very friendly.

B) Not much smoking going on, in the park. yeah!!!!

C) A maverick ride employee told me in passing conversation, the seat belts on TTD were shorter this year. Boo, hiss.

D) Now about me, I know I rambled on a bit, and my points I made were very random and maybe not to the point. Sorry. But these were very minor points about my trip. Also sorry about the grammar and lack of sentence structures.

If you make a trip this year, maybe I have helped a bit. Also if you have any other questions, I'll check back soon and answer them.

OUCH, SORRY ABOUT THE PUNCTUATION ON MY TRIP REPORT ABOVE. I NEEDED TO PROOF READ BETTER. SORRY AGAIN. THUNDERBEAST1968

Goodbye MrScott

That sucks to hear the food wasn't that good. I've had that pizza before across from Maverick and it wasn't all that good I have to say.

You would think a Sbarro's would be good there...
Only thing I like to get in the park now is Panda Express, and other fair foods like Elephant Ears.

thunderbeast, If you don't like the midway food you should try one of CP's sit down restaurants. Johnny Rockets doesn't have the best food, but it sounds better than what you guys had. Plus you get a small break to sit down and rest your legs before you go out into the park again. When we went, we were there for 12 hours. So that 1/2 break felt nice to be off of our feet. :)

Jesz, wouldn't it be 13 hours with extra ride time in the morning? Or are you not a season pass holder?
I honestly try and run 3 times a week at least so walking the point isn't all that bad...even in flip flops.

But yeah I find myself getting attracted to TGI Fridays beach front location myselffff. I had a mojito last weekend there and it was pretty good and it was like 5 or 6 dollars.

No, 12 hours. :( Sadly to say I do not hold a season pass due to lack of money.

Ahh, but if you go enough then it pays for itself.

Meet us in Brighton when we go and we'll take you for $20 :) AND get you in the park early.

Oh, I know it would pay for itself. If I had a season pass, and gas money...I would be at CP probably at least twice a week. But unforunately I do not have money for eathier. I am extremely broke right now, and all of my money goes towards diapers (for my son, not me! lol). But thanks for the offer :) If I had the extra cash I would definately take you up on it.

If you get poorly made food from a quick serve location, return it and ask them for a fresh one. Especially for the prices this year, I wouldn't eat something that is cold or defective in some way. They will always give you a replacement if you ask for it.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
