Trip Repo 6-05-03

Well, it was my 8th grade trip to cedar point, it could of have been better, but theres not better place to be then at the po!nt!

I had to wake up at 4 to get to school so we could leave by 4:30. The bus's were late cuz one broke down but that all got straightened out and we were on the road by 4:50, only 5 minutes behind schedule. Our bus ride was great, we got to the point, and there stood the TTD. A test train had just went and I saw it go plummeting down.

We got into the park and imdiatly sat on the bleachers by the TTD. As soon as we sat down the nice lady said the TTD is down, and expect a LENGTHY delay. Well that blows, it did end up being closed all day, and people were still waiting outside the entrance hoping it would open. I believe there was something wrong with the roll back brakes as only sections were going down, and not all of them. Because later i saw mechanics pointing at the little mechanisms tha tmake the brakes go down. All 6 trains were on and the gold train was in the launch position ALL day. The trains DO look funny without the theming. I guess the whole TTD area looks so much different then i expected, but to me that midway looks right with that ride on it.

Anyway we ended up going on the Corkscrew, and waiting a half an hour, which really wasnt fun. But after that, we headed over to the magnum which was like a 15 minute wait, then we also waited for front seat, which to me, REALLY hurt my thighs. We had 2 strange old gay people behind us with beards, kinda creepy, infact it seemed like there were ALOT of gay people there. After that we looked for some freinds and ended up riding the wicked twister, and went back to the main part of the midway. rode the corkscrew again. I WILL NEVER SIT IN THE FRONT SEAT AGAIN...ooowwweeee.

But then we headed over by Millenium Force and the mantis, the mantis had an hour and 45 minute wait, and the Millenium had an hour and fifteen minute wait, so we figured we go ride the MF after we ate. We ate, checked in with the parent we were suppost to, and went back to the MF, we saw my friend Mary on the way and said she couldnt find anyone to ride with. The line went quick! it was around 45 minutes(far from an 1 and 15 mintutes) Mary was freakin out in line whenever the train would go by. I remeber boarding it, and shaking, I always shake before riding a rollercoaster. She was freaking out,and as soon as we started to go up the hill I said close your eyes and look down and you wont know how high we are. Well when it quickens up, she looked up and to my surprise was like woah cool. We went over the top, and she was silent, but her expression said more than words could, but She loved it! You can see our onride photo here. Im ofcourse always looking terrible as my mouth was WIDE open. I love that ride, I wish I could have gotton in more laps like last year. But We got off and she loved it.

After that we headed over by the Wicked Twister again, and rode it..again, that ride is tied with Millenium Force, I love it so much!!!!!!!! But it was alot of fun, again, I got Mary to ride it too, and she wanted and onride photo off that, but u cant get one.We rode the Chaos,LAME, after that. We also got an iron dragon in after that, then went on and did a power tower Space Shot...but, so far my rollercoaster stats are

Millennium Force:1

Magnum XL-200: 1

CorkScrews:2

Wicked Twister: 2

Iron Dragon: 1

I wish I could have gotton more rides in. And sadly the Raptor was closed all day, and ofcourse it opened as we left, as with the skyride gondola thingys over the midway. I didnt really want to ride the Gemini, or the Meanstreak, as I didnt feel like journeying WAY back there, that would be the place to put a ride in the future, get some people back there. But it was a fun day nun the less. Ill have some photo's up in a while and will edit the post and put in the link. Thanks Cedar Point Employees for a great experience, and thank you Cedar Point for providing another GREAT experience!

Wanna Get High? Ride Top Thrill Dragster

I was there 6/3 and 6/4 and got a total of 30 somethin rides and could have done more. It was way less crowded and TTD was running so great before it went down. When we left we saw people piling into the park so we are glad we picked the right days.
