A few notes from our week at the point.
Monday - Went to park from 4 - 8. Crowd was not large, TTD and MF were 1/2 hour - 1 hour, but everything else (even MAXAIR) was a walk on.
Tuesday - Went to park at 10 and rode everything we wanted with very short lines until 1 PM. When we got to the park at 10, it was drizzling, but the real steady rain came at 1. Went back to Hotel Breakers and kids swam outside in the rain and had a blast.
Wednesday - After rain stopped at Noon, pretty muched owned the park. Kids walked on MF, then got off of it, and walked on again (this was at 2PM). Never saw that happen. The rest of the day, the park was dead.
Thursday - Park was way way busier. Especially at night. I think a lot of people took Friday off for the Holiday weekend. Dragster was 1 hour, and Maxair was about 45 minutes. MF was down most (or all) of the day. Looked like a lift hill problem. Watched a few empty trains try to go up the lift and stall about 3/4 the way up.
Friday - Just went into the park to shop, but as of Noon, the park was way more crowded than the previous days.
Note that when we went to start one of the cars our group came in, the battery was dead. The bellman, gave a maintenance person a call who charged the battery for us. All his efforts could not help our battery, so we drove our other vehicle to WalMart, got a battery, and this maintenance guy met us back at the vehicle and installed the battery for us.
To sum up, great time, and great Cedar Point service (as usual).
I was there Tuesday and Wednesday. The rain was annoying but still the park was do-able. Even MF ran all day in a steady rain. Wedneday the park was the deadest I have ever seen it. I was in heaven. Walk ons for MF with half empty trains!!! Blue train was making loud clunking noize on lift most of the day, and they had trouble late in the day with lift. They inspected lift mechanism, then took the red train off the track. The other trains ran good the rest of the day from what I could see. If MF down, I can see how the park would seem more crowded!!!
MLEM4S Still Rules!!!
We were there Monday--Thursday as well. The amazing thing about the lack of lines on MF Wednesday was we could actually jog around after exiting and make the same train we just got off, upon its' return. Our longest wait was for front car, 4 trains and 7 trains. Trains were leaving empty other than the front at times that morning! We rode 9 times in a row in the space of 90 minutes...before ODing on it.
I wish I could have been there, but I'm still in school.
But yeah, last weekend on closing day, the line for MF was 5 minutes at one'o clock.
