^ i was at coaster con at DW for 4 days and everyone i talked to said the samething about the crappy restraints on WE. So your telling me that they didnt crush you while you were sitting on the brake run? If not you must be like 4ft tall.I haven't ridden Xflight so i can't speak for those restraints but i would take any of B&Ms other restraints instead of those.
^And that was my one wish.......so I'm set for life. :)
^^I'm 5'9" and I didn't have a problem with them on either coaster. And I rode both multiple times so there was plenty of opportunity for me to notice any discomfort. My only critique was that they were snug. Though it was not to an uncomfortable level.
They're definitely not the holy grail of coaster restraints. But I, imo, wouldn't say they're awful. Let's just say I would take those restraints over Maverick's any day of the week.

I am 5'11" and Wild Eagle's restraints were very, very uncomfortable for me. The seatbelt/vest like thing tightens and tightens throughout the entire ride and really hurt my collar bone.

I've already stated a few times on Pointbuzz that I thought Wild Eagle's restraints were uncomfortable. I'm only 5'6", but by the end of the ride I felt like my collar bone were being whittled into toothpicks. Both times I visited Dollywood I was the only one in my group that felt the discomfort, so I realize that I'm in the minority.
I'd much rather ride in a traditional B&M over-the-shoulder, than in the "tighten-down-on-you-till-you-can't-breath" B&M vest. Unless there's been some modifactations to the system, I doubt that I'll be marathoning Gatekeeper much this summer.

Its been my experience that coaster restraints are one of the many things in life that people just must agree to disagree about. While some comfort is directly related to size, I've heard people of almost identical builds complain/praise the same restraints. I think pain/discomfort tolerance plays a big role as well.
