So I process in may 4th but my training doesn't start till may 6th. What do I do on the 5th? Like what is there to do down there? Lol
Will you have a car? If you do, explore Sandusky to get familiar with the city. There's a mall, and a movie theater. There's time to grocery shopping as well for your room / apartment. Another thing to do is unpack all your stuff to your room. Make sure you get plenty of rest before starting working.
09 - Breakers Boutique
10 - Emporium
11 - Costume Character for the Peanuts Gang
12 - Day off relief for the town / trail
13 - Not going to put that one the internet, but my uniform is not going to be purple...
You'll be busy.
You have Policy, Cornerstone, Housing and Novice training as well as park operations training. As for ride training, you'll learn all of the different positions at your ride, learn the different policies, such as parent swap, etc.

I don't think you have to take novice training... at least I don't and it's my first year. Email your hiring manager and they will clarify anything for you.
He will if it's his first job.

Windseeker will be running. Technically Windseeker was cleared as safe near the end of the season. But they kept all Windseeker's closed until a solution was devised by the manufacture. Knotts Berry Farm was recently testing out a evacuation platform that rolls up to the ride when needed. All Windseekers are required to have this mobile platform to be able to operate. Yes you will be down for weather but that just means more time to clean. Anytime we are not operating we are supposed to clean. And with Windseeker going down for 25MPH+ winds it should be the cleanest ride in the park ;) Along with SkyRide haha!
2012 Ocean Motion/Midway Carousel
2013 Raptor
2014 Ride Supervisor of Ocean Motion/Midway Carousel
Hooray for a ride placed on a beach FOR the wind to be closed when it's windy. Also having "wind" in the name :P
Because of the wind wouldn't it already be clean. Blowing all the trash away ;)

You'll still have to "clean" even if your ride is entirely spotless.
We can be Sky / Wind sweep buddies!

I personally loved polishing the CRAP out of handrails. Mainly because the handrail polish smelled AMAZING. It also does a really good job too. I can't remember what it's called though but man it works well.
Oh and SD-20. That stuff is FREAKING AWESOME. Seriously, I had never heard of SD-20 until I worked at CP but O...M...G I love SD-20. It's right up there with Duct Tape and WD-40 in terms of awesome. I still use it for SO MANY THINGS to this day.
Yeah, that's the stuff. If THAT can't get it clean, nothing will. Seriously, it's that impressive how awesome it is.
Demon Drop 2004
Castaway Bay Lifeguard 04-05
SD-20 is seriously the best thing ever. It cleans everything.

hiii i just got hired as a ride host (wootwoot- not sure what ride yet thought: i find out tuesday i think they said)
anywho i got my emails today about training dates and times but i only got three: Policy, Cornerstone, Housing. do i not need to take Novice? :/
If they didn't schedule you for Novice training, I don't think you need it. I think it might only be for people who have never had a job before.
Who hired you?
