Or you could just accept the obvious thing in front of you and see it'll be done in a couple of weeks, not counting LSM's, brakes, etc.

accept the obvious...
Jeff, I thing that's a concept lost on way to many people.

Of course, the obvious isn't taking into consideration the crazy weather that can happen...like the Easter snowstorm over here in NE Indiana about 5 or 6 years back. My school was out for 3 or 4 days I think it was...that much snow in April...definitely not normal. I'd hate to think of how much snow a lake system could dump on the Point, especially a really strong lake system.
I wouldn't count out snow in October.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Crazy weather in Northern Ohio...? Never! ;)

Yeah, but when someone in construction says "steel erection," they normally are referring to the MAJOR components. I would guess the same is true with this, but I could be wrong.
The LSM instalation is MAJOR part of the ride.... (sorry if you're talking about the stair stuff)

Maverick perhaps? I wanna RIDE ON.
I live 2 hours away from Cedar Point, and Crazy weather is not a reason why they chose to build it now. Top Thrill was built in the winter. There might be one or two weeks out of the whole winter where the weather might be bad and they would be unable to work. Last year, I had 1 snow day the whole winter. *** Edited 9/27/2006 11:08:18 PM UTC by Millennium***
I can easily see track construction being complete by the end of the first week of October. Hell, they are already into the final stretch.
The turn and everything over the pond is done, all that is needed is everything past the lift hill (turn into overbank, into brakes).
Even now, on the webcam, you can see that the actual LSM motors are mounted on the lift, albeit, they are still unwired, I'd imagine.
Are you sure about the LSM's? I don't see anything.

I think someone indicated those would likely come much later.
