Oh, I gotcha. I was responding to Mox's post about negative exponents.

Edited for dyslexia. :)

Launch. Which is what we suspected all along.

A row of straight footers does not solidify the fact that this coaster has a launch. A row of footers that are all the same size could simply be the loading area inside the station.

I always forget about the loading area or the area in which they hold extra trains.

I was more or less trying to throw out a couple of other variations into the already heated m/s/s discussion. I understand quite well the concept of a negative exponent. Otherwise, I'd be worried why I'm paying so much money to get a degree in engineering.

You guys are hurting my brain. It's bad enough that I have to think here at work! LOL

;-)

Has any one been to the cedarpoint web site lately.I was just there and it wouldnt load all the way .I dont know but sumthing might be up here.

I wouldn't worry about it - probably just server trouble. Its not a conspiracy, if that's what you're suggesting. ;)

Hey guys if you go over to point pixel .com.there is a picture of the track at the site. There is three pieces there.

I took at look. I like all the turns this coaster seems to have.

Oh, you're an HVAC guy?

Grrrrrrr... What is it with you guys coming in and putting your ductwork right in front of where I've spec'd speakers to hang? :)

My guess is that somebody didn't show my plans to the HVAC guys.

Actually, mox's form is correct. Its not a common notation, but it isn't wrong either.

Re-read my post. I didn't say the equation was wrong, I said the notation was. No one ever writes it that way, ever. Please tell me where you have seen it written that way. All my calculus books and calculus based physics books (- heck even any book I have ever seen on the subject) have never noted it with negative powers. While mathematically correct, they never call it out that way.

Okay - enough of that crap, back on topic...

O DJ i didnt think it was an conspiracy.I was just asking if any one else had programs.By the way they have started on my theme park down here in WV.I hope my speeling is better. Also i have been working on my grammar.I got kick off for a few days because of it.Im getting better.

Then I misread your post. I can't recall anywhere except for the wikipedia article I linked before that used negative notation. I've almost always seen it as either m/s^2 or m/s/s.

Higher-level engineering books will use it quite often as a means to solve equations for complex scenarios using differential equations.

Wikipedia, that figures. There is just as much junk as good things that are in there.

Edit - I certainly don't recall it that way in my Differential Equations book.

Well, I don't necessarily recall it in mine either. But, in engineering classes that used diff-eq as a means to solve problems, it was often used to explain how a function was developed, for instance.

ABOUT THAT TRACK!

How about this coaster is nothing out of the ordinary and is just a nice height & speed? What if all of this discussion and all of these different concepts are wasted?

Cool, huh?

I could've sworn that someone already said that it had taped and aired already? I want to see that special, but I'll be out tomorrow night in Canada.

Do I maybe smell and announcement via news??
