Next year, Top Thrill Dragster turns 10! If you have taken a look at the construction photos, you see that Dragster has really faded over the years. I propose a paint job during this off season. Millie got one (and it is still going on) for it's 10th. Maybe different colors for TTD too? I don't know. Discuss.

Rides aren't repainted as a birthday gesture. They're repainted when they need it and the budget allows for it. Rides are not people.

When they eventually do paint Dragster, I would hope for different colors. That red on Iron Dragon, Dragster and Maverick are just so blah. The only ride it looks alright on is Maverick due to the theme and such... Iron Dragon should have been repainted a shade of silver like Top Gun at KI... I still hate how that ride looks ever since the repaint with that dang orange/red scheme.

I think Dragster is fine for now. I would always fight to keep it's maintenance at a higher priority. And it has been running great this year imo. I've actually noticed that (during most of my trips) Milennium was the maintenance headache while Dragster powered through the day with little to no downtime. But as far as repainting, I highly doubt there's any plans for its 10th (especially with GK being new). It'll probably just have a mention on the "Anniversary sign" at the Resort Gates. But if it were to under go a massive rehab and I were to pick a different color scheme(since Im it's biggest fan and all ;)), my vote would be to change the tower to a darker grey color and change the color of some of the trains. Perhaps replace some of the pre existing train colors to a white, black and silver color. But that's just my little fantasy idea. I'm still perfectly fine with the current color scheme.

10th anniversaries typically have not meant much in terms of events, celebration, etc. Usually have to wait until 20+.With that being said, I would think a repaint for Dragster would be cheaper than just about any other steel coaster in the park.
Heh. Just re-read this today and realized I totally forgot about Wicked Twister...which ironically is 10 years old this year. I've been on Pointbuzz for 10 years, maybe that means I'm due for a fresh coat of paint.
