I was just thinking today does anyone know how long the launch section is. From the first set of block brakes to the end of launch section? Sorry if this has been discussed I searched it before, but found nothing.
Well the whole track is 2800 ft. the tower is 400+ft so multiply by 2. 2000ft left. I would say 300ft. Sorry if i am wrong! :)
The tower section is more then 400ft, it has to curve at the top (in addition to the curve it must do to go mostly horizontal to vertical at the bottom.)
the launch section is exactly 400 feet

I thought it was 600...
2005/2006: Cedar Point - Millennium Force
2007/2008/2009: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland Speedway
2008: Hard Rock Park - Maximum RPM! Opening Supervisor
2008/2009: Universal Orlando - Men in Black: Alien Attack Team Leader, Guest Services Coordinator
Well in theory (neglecting air resistance/friction), acceleration is acc = change velocity/change time, which in this case is acc = (53.64m/s-0m/s) / 3.8sec which equals 14.11m/s^2
Then x = 1/2at^2 so x = 1/2(14.11)(3.8)^2 which equals 101.8742 meters or 334.14 feet.
So it should be somewhere around that figure.
Edit: That doesn't take into account the slight slope of the launch either.

Haha, not really. Im just curious because there was an Adam in one of my college classes that was in love with coasters. He gave all his speeches about coasters. Just seeing if it might be him.

I heard that it is closer to 800 ft in length.

I didn't know his name either, don't let anyone think they're that special.

How can I be both the official AND unofficial?:)
^For the record I'm not doing or saying anything here to make anyone think I'm THAT special. No more than Raptor Joe, Rideman, the "Advocate of Great Great Tunnels™" or anyone else on here who has a reputation.
And it sure says a lot that for how long I've been on here with my name in my signature and how many times I visit and post, you haven't even bothered to look and see my name in 4 years. :( ::tear::

^I figured I can't call you official because others may claim that they are Dragster #1 Fan and I don't want to start no drama with: I'm the bigger fan of Dragster, No I'm the biggest fan of Dragster, No I'm the Biggerest fan of Dragster conversation *I know Biggerest is not a word*

I don't think there's many Dragster fans on here anyway.:) I can defiantly say I'm without a doubt a HUGE Dragster fan. I'm by no means the official or unofficial biggest cause there's always a chance there's someone out there more of a fan than I as much as I don't want to think that.:) I will however dare anyone to prove me wrong after seeing these pics.
