I've always said CP needed a coaster that raced red and blue trains.

"Race for the Sky" was a great tagline.
"Drive the Sky" makes no sense whatsoever.

I don't know, they both sound equally nonsensical to me. Generally speaking race cars going airborne tends not to end well.

Elon disagreeing with me is perhaps the strongest endorsement imaginable that I'm correct.

These are Detroit Lions adjacent colors and as a LIons fan let me tell you those are bad vibes to associate yourself with
^normally I'd say yes, but are they starting to turn it around? I'm not sold on that kool-aid just yet.
Another interesting note, what's everyone's thoughts on the "Smoke the competition" signage? Are they referring to other parks with similar rides as said competition? Surely this new ride can't go faster that Kingda Ka or even Formula Rossa can it?
Perhaps the "smoke" will be generated during the launch, à la Maverick's tunnel, to simulate burning rubber.

Shizzzon:
Maverick been down for days, skyride has been down last few hours.
Was there this morning from 9.15 till 12:30. Rode Maverick around 10:15 and it was running fine. Around 11:15 when I was eating at the Farmhouse, it went down as a train was stuck at the dispatch point with riders aboard. Not sure if it went back up as I went to ride Mine Ride instead. Skyhawk also was down as was Corkscrew. Sky Ride was running when I left. On the plus side, I got on Wild Mouse during early entry in 10 minutes. Seemed to be running well. Windseeker was also running which seems to be a rarity when I go. Operations seemed better than my previous two visits this year, so that was good. On topic, it looked like new brake fins are up on Dragster’s finish line area. I could be wrong about that, but I didn’t seem to recall seeing those in prior photos. And one last thing, the older lady at the Sweet Spot shop and another at the Farmhouse were two of the nicest people I have encountered at any park this year. So if Tony or any of the other high ups see this, send my props to them. Those are good people! 😀

I think you mean à la Top Thrill Dragster, to simulate burning rubber. Did we forget TTD's launch used to have a smoke effect upon launch?

Yes, there's a water spray from the cooling system. However, in it's first year or two, there was effects "smoke" that rose up behind the train as it took off.
Edit: Took a few, but found a video with the effects smoke seen here at the 01:29 mark:

Oh that’s cool!
I was also thinking about the 3 Vs. I was thinking they stood for “velocity” and the three mean that there will be 3 moments/pulses/launches of high velocity
