I thought that construction workers (and particularly steelworkers) always topped off the highest part of a structure with an evergreen tree and a flag. Never knew that they would only include the tree in colder months.

Yes, they are just making jokes and playing on words to mess with us. Unless there is something that they are hiding, which I doubt, Maverick is what we're getting. Look at this, they've put in one ride per year practically since 2000, excluding 2001 and 2004. Why would they be building two in one year now? Think logically with me now, the school year has just begun as we ain't Detroit Public. As sad as that is, its true :(

Actually, they aren't doing it to mess with anyone. They stated that they would save the tree (which makes sense around Christmas time, not early September) for when they top a ride in winter. Thats not even using a double entendre to try and make a hidden joke. There just simply is no joke there.

They're going to save the tree to top off the new fence post they're replacing in the winter! ;)
