Too late to contract time off?

It is now April 21st. I process in on the 27th, but I absolutely must have June 14th (Saturday) off so I can pick my brother up from the Cleveland airport and bring him to the Point so he can process in. However, in all the paperwork (Including the online rehire application) I didn't specify I needed this day off.

I would also like June 6th off so I can finally take advantage of my ACE membership and go to CoasterMania.

Should I just say I need this day off when they ask me to sign and verify what days I have contracted off? I seem to recall them doing that during the first week or two of work last year.

From what I heard you won't be able to get CoasterMania off sorry. You might but don't count on it. For June 14th you might be able too.

I got that day off last year, but didn't go to the CoasterMania events, as my ACE membership was expired and I didn't have the money at the time to renew it.

I'm on Thunder Canyon as I was last year, not a major roller coaster. CoasterMania doesn't seem to affect the lines at TC. So many coasters freaks out there don't care for water rides, especially ones that use pure unfiltered nasty Lake Erie water. I work the ride, but I won't ride it.

I didnt contract any days off last year, then I believe they asked me my first day when i was in park ops doing that paperwork and i said nope again. I got asked again in early july, and ended up taking a week off at the end of that month.

Any 1 off days i needed, i never had a problem... just let my TL know a week or 2 in advance.

I dont think you'll have a prob. just let someone know.

just ask for that day off and if there is a reason you can't have the day off ask for a specific shift. The ERTs usually take place in the morning before the park opens and after the park closes and since you are on TC I don't see a problem since that ride usually dies down after dusk anyway. the first five years I was at CP I was in foods and back then you could not ask for Fridays off so I usally tried to open so I could at least make the night Magnum session. My sixth season I finally was able to get that day off.
So you should at least get to participate in the ride ERTs.

maybe if you call your department and explain to them why you need that specific day off and they should work with you, that's what i did.......you haven't even processed in yet though so i don't see the problem but good luck anyway
