Too late?

I just found out that a few of my friends from school here (Notre Dame) got were recently hired. I had been planning to apply at CP this year, but I had no idea that the application process started so early. I just sent in my application today; do I still have a decent shot at being hired?

I think that you do. It's still winter and many who may have applied already have plans change and may have to rethink their decision to work at the Point.

Many in this forum may have applied later than this in the year, previuosly. Am I right, former Pointers?

yes you still have time they have yet to start going to universities looking for help. when i worked in 2000 i applied through the college and that was like in march.

You're fine. Plenty of people apply much later than this, and the college recruiting tour, which lasts a month or two, doesn't even kick off for a couple of weeks. You'll hear back from them in the next couple of weeks. Good luck!

Yeah, Notre Dame is a nice place. I'm originally from the Pittsburgh area, and I heard that there were a lot of people from that area at work at CP as well...

Yep last year, i think I applied in the begining of April and started the begining of May, so you still have plenty of time.

Where were you from in the Pittsburgh area? I know a ton of people from around here who either work at CP now or did at some point.

I'm from Ellwood City...it's a suburb about 40 minutes north of downtown...

They hire during the middle of the summer
M friends brother apllied in late june he was hired in july and left like two weeks afer he was there and he even took a weeks vaction
so you are still safe
