Today's Plain Dealer

Considering the fact that the kids will be getting out of school shortly and rushing to their computers to see if an announcement was made and so we can hear all about the webcams being down every 5 minutes

For those who say that it doesn't matter when they announce it because we already know the general stats, I agree somewhat. The only thing I'm curious about is the trains and the jerk (instantaneous acceleration) of it. Seriously think about it, we don't know what the trains are yet. I'm not getting my hopes up or anything but I have absolutely no idea what kind of train we'll be on. One would obviously assume similar trains to that of Mille and Xcelerator. I think they probably will be. But who knows, maybe floorless? I dunno. So to say that we know EVERYTHING is not entirely true. We ASSUME we know everything. But like I said, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Peace I'm Out

Boy, I'm really looking forward to that Ice Cream on opening day! :-) Remember, I'll take double scoops of Praline Pecan on sugar cones! :-p
We will also know the name at last.

That is the big thing I am waiting for.

Glad to see an announcement is expected this week., I think most of us who were disapointed, have vented all their disapointment at this point.

(Sorry about the above...)

I'm with you, Tom. "Nearly." I'm frightened and confused.

We can only hope that this is a hapless oversight by a random reporter who just doesn't get the implications of that extra 20 or so feet.

After seeing this thing in person, trust me, it is easily 400 feet. I can't wait until the announcement, I'll be a celebrity at school for a few days following it :)

Edit: I also don't see them doing it Thursday. Tuesday or Wednesday would be better. The GP will talk about it the rest of the week, then it will just kind of die over the weekend. The earlier they announce, the more it gets talked about. Remember WT was announced on a Tuesday.

We know the name, what is it?

Nothing in my mail today....
The name that has come up time and time again is Electroblast...whether it's right or not, I guess we'll have to wait for January 9th.

I don't think that the info Jes has said on previous occasions has been misleading, so why would he start now?

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of # 16, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

Yeah radio stations and everything are saying it will be later this week, one slipped and said thurs, whether they are right or not is yet to be hold. It would be funny if CP moved it back just to make the newspapers and radio stations look stupid!

Hey

I've heard rumours here that some say it might be floorless, but this cannot be possible or your legs will snap off, It may sound crazy but Hypersonic_XLC had to be closed to modify the trains so your legs don't snap off, its aerodynamics if you accidently move your legs outside the train at 120 mph its going to be pretty unpleasent

A quick question. When CP, or any park for that matter, announces a ride how soon before hand does the press find out? Lets say that the announcement is going to be on Thursday. Does CP just issue the info on thursday to the press or do they call for a press conference on the point and tell them to show up at a certain time? Just wondering if we will be given some kind of a warning before the official announcement. I'm sure if the press found out about an announcement a day in advance that it would make its way onto the board.
That depends if they are going to make a big production out of it or not. Given the track record this year, I really don't know what to expect.

There will not be a press conference, but the information will all be available through various electronic means. Some press has been notified.

Or not....the press are extremely good about keeping quiet until CP says so, why? you leak the info, you lose the source..
