Fred, could you please explain how that piece can only go on another tower? To me, it looks like it could be on top of the current tower.
One question if this is supposed to be a L:TH:T:B, then what are those bigger and odd supports for then? I'm still in limbo of it being just a L:TH:T:B, and somthing that is more.

CP Bound, I noticed those huge footers too. And to me, they dont look like there for the station or transfer track. Which is why I'm Not convinced that it's only L-TH-T-B.
Would someone please answer my questions so I too can get off the fence. I was at CP two weeks ago, so I have seen the site.

1. Where is the track going to come from if it is connecting to the top connector of the tower on the left hand side. Will it come from the top, or support a turn from the magnum side of the midway into the break run.

2. They appear to be pouring footers close to the new web cam by ID - if so, what are they for.

3. Is it me - or are BOTH web cams now centered to the same place within CP, yet WAY off center of the current construction.

4. How much track is on site that contains negative G forces.

5. Why are they starting so early.

look at that piece again. it is not flanged on either side or the top thus it goes in place in the same position it currently sits, i believe. similiar supports here: http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery87.htm?Picture=7

looking at other intamin ag coasters i think that piece could be the top of yet more verticle supports. :) hopefully!

And if it did go on the current tower, it would mean there would have to be and inverted piece of track under that support. That support obviously caps some support off, so either the main tower is an inverted tophat (most likely not) or there's an inversion (most likely not) or there's another tower (most likely not), so where is this thing goin??? I completely agree with you Fred, it's just another tower seems unlikely to me. Great find though!!!

RIDE IT AGAIN!!!

Those notches in the track can be found on almost every Intamin coaster. I think it has to do with providing clearance for the bottom of the train when the track is concave down at a certain radius.

I see that odd piece fred mentioned as one of the pieces that'd support the track on the drop side, provided that will turn 270.

Why is it so hard for people to believe those footers in a line will most likely be for tranfer track? Seems kinda obvious to me.

It looks to me like that odd piece will top the current, and probably only tower.

It is sitting upside down for storage sake. The rear and two side main supports will taper in to meet with this cap. The smaller post will be for a vertical brace. The flange off the bottom (top) will extend up to support the tophat. The flange on the side will suppot the start of the twistage down. What I am confused about would be the flange facing back towards the station. This doesn't seem like it would align with anything unless the upside of the hill comes over more towards the middle of the tower before hitting the tophat.

Any thought?

Bob - you're close. See my post yesterday in the "Another Twist to the Tale" thread.

I would have to agree with fred biscardi about more than one tophat after looking at this picture

I don't think the triangular tower will have a support like that.
