Today's Pics

I think the brake run right now is only to slow you down, and it will some hills or something beyond the brakes. What does everyone else think.
If you have looked at the pictures that are up today it looks to me that it might just end up to be a L TH B. but thats just my opinion
This is way too much brake track just to slow it down, even if the thing is going 120mph+.

This is the ride's brake run. After these brakes, it will turn into the station. The end.

I think everyone can now give up hope that it is gonna be more than a L-TH-B. The amount of brake track that it up is HUGE. was more than would be needed for "trim brakes"

I've been a non L-TH-B believer for along time. I must say though that everything is coming together right now and it is obvious that it is an L-TH-B. There isn't much left to the imagination in these recent pics. I hate to say it but it's going to be what they've been saying all along, L-TH-B. I'll still keep that little glimmer of hope in the back of my mind. But until there is some visual evidence that this might be more, I'm going to accept the fact that I'll be standing in line for a shorter than preferred and amazing ride. We can't keep searching for proof. It just seems even less likely now. Sorry and see you in line!
While I agree that all the parts currently at the park lead to a L-TH-B ride, we must remember there are 6 months left for construction and CP has never worried about building in the winter before.

So, while there is still plenty of time for more and they have not officially announced what this ride is going to be, I am keeping an open mind.

With this attitude, I cannot be wrong!

*shakes his head*

That is the end of the ride, guys. Believe it.

The reason vertical construction has commenced so early is because it would be more productive to build the tall parts before the winter hits, and it becomes too windy to really build high off the ground. You can either do it before the winter or after, and after doesn't leave you enough time to finish the ride by May 5th (Or whenever opening day is).

You all know its a L TH B because the track goes from box track to flat track, which therefore mens its the end of the ride, just like Millie. Now the real question is how tall and how fast? ;)

...and if its gonna do something weird at the top.
Winston <- Who was in denial and now excepts what has been somewhat aparent, it's a L, TH, B. Oh well, it will still be fun.
I am now converted to the L-TH-B side too. I will still ride many times, and will not complain. I look at it this way. Less ride time = more capacity = less wait. If I only have to wait 1 hr for this ride, who cares what it does anyway. But I don't matter.

notice the notches in the middle of the top hat portion of the track in the background. i wonder what those notches are for? just something new to think about.

Cedar Point...my anti-drug

I will ride it multiple times only if the queue time is short, otherwise...No thanks, I'm not waisting my time for a 10 second sensation, i'd rather wait for the MF and get a nice long ride out of it. Its definatly L-TH-B, i am totally convinced now. *Sigh*

One more thing i'm wondering about, Broadhurst4, Why did you title your topic "Todays Pics" when it has NOTHING to do with todays pics. HMM...

Those notches are weird. I wonder...

I also am now on the L-TH-B side. The only bit hope left is that maybe the track won't twist on the drop, will go straight on to Millennium Island, do stuff, then come back, and make a vertical twisting drop into the break run. But I really doubt that would happen.

At least many are finally coming to the realization most were trying to convince them of. The tower doesn't look so tall unitl you're right beside it. Power Tower gives the perfect view of the whole site, and would be a great photo op...ride hosts next year will probably have to make sure that people have no cameras while riding. The brake sections, although look pretty short in th pics are really like 20-30 feet high.

What I think is cool is that the station will be at ground level, so you could stand beside it and watch the trains launch...I'm not sure if it will be launched from the station of a staging area, though.

There are sill quite a few big footers to be poured in the area of the station, so I'm somewhat confused as to what they are for.

Riding WT several times last night gives me a great sense for braking in a short distance. I think that braking at those high speeds is sweet, and it gives me the same "losing my stomach" feeling as drop rides and launched rides. I definitely won't be disappointed with a L:TH:T:B

...Denial is an ugly thing.

Definetly, Rideman, Raven-Phile and I just stood there and looked at the thing with a classic "what the hell?" type look on our faces last weekend.
