I would like to say... Damn you guys do have one helluva job to do every day! I worked this weekend at the Los Gatos. I worked with Marcus, he seemed like a very nice person. considering it is the only time I have worked at cedar point, I can see how the lines can get backed up. Even seasoned employees could have the wow factor when it comes to the amount of guests ordering food. Heck I thought some people were crazy ordering icee's on a fridgid Halloweekend at almost Midnight. Needless to say, It was fun But I now know I was not cut out for the foodservice industry! I will stick to Hydraulics lab testing.
So Cudos to the foodservice Folks!! I will continue to enjoy being on the receiver side of the Window.
Rock On!!
Chris

Marcus...that guy is awesome. One of my room mates happened to be the stand supervisor for Los Gatos while we were there, and I met several of the people in Zone 4 foods. imadj: hopefully you didn't have to use the phone back there, because it evidently needs replaced. Marcus ended up calling Blue Streak one day while I was in controls. He meant to call Pretzel Fillers. Needless to say, he was a little surprised when I picked up and said "Blue Streak, Michael." :)

Yep, one and the same. Tony Aaron is still there as well, if I remember right.

I was the catering slave in 74 and manager 75-77. We worked our tails off! I was responsible for all of the outside and most of the indoor catered events; mostly company picnics and the like. On Saturdays I was often at work at 5am setting up picnics for up to 5 or 6 different groups at once. Part of starting so early was so we could drive on the midway. After the park opened, we'd have to drive all the way around Perimeter Road from the main kitchen complex to the picnic areas in the front of the park which just takes too long. Got my id pulled many times for speeding in a food service truck. It was a real juggling act to get everything set up, then bring out the food just in time to serve. We'd grill hot dogs by the case and server more friggin' fried chicken than you'd every believe. I STILL can't stand fried chicken! Meanwhile we're shuttling back and forth to the main kitchen for ice, extra Coke, beer, etc. It was fun back then, but, I'm happy to be doing other things now!
