Are you trying to sound cool? I don't know what's worse, your grammar, or the fact that you've posted the ride you're going to work and your name. Use your head.

Whoops.
Really, people -- there is more to do at Cedar Point than getting yourself trashed every night. Why work at an amusement park if you're not going to remember any of it or feel sick the entire time? ^_~ I'm sure there are bars at home that are just as *good* (or worse) than Louie's. I've met more than one employee who was packing up to go home with little to no money at the end of the season; they wasted all their paychecks at the bar. Have your fun, but have a little respect for yourselves, too.

Lee, I totally agree. . .But I know that there are plenty of people who at least practice moderation. . . and many more who find other ways to have fun. I have talked to many, and I haven't even started working yet! I am looking forward to entertaining myself in a variety of ways. . .getting trashed just doens't happen to be one! :)

Oh my. . .NBC's Must See TV Thursday was absolutely amazing. . . I am speechless!

ok lets hear it for all the do gooders! ya there are other things to do. some just find there fun at louies. i am sure anyone who comments agaisnt this has gotten more drunk then tim. myself included. tim is a great guy! atleast he isbeing honest with what he plans to spend his time. and as you will find there are silver tags who enjoy thier time off at louies. so it is no big deal....
Drinking is generally perceived as a fun social event, and for most people it usually is.

Alcholism is another thing. Most of us can make the distinction.

I think the whole anti-drinking attitude here came in when someone mentioned something about coming in to work drunk. That's just an insult to your employers, and I'm pretty sure that like myself, any sup worth anything that caught someone drunk at work would probably send him/her straight back home and write their asses up with a final or whatnot.

Blah, it's not worth it.

I actually have a story about a co-worker coming in drunk one day. He just reeked of alcohol, it was horrible! Well, he ended up throwing up at the front desk, it was soooo nasty. I was just like "dude, get into the back, leave!" because he was right next to me! Ewwww, it was nasty. So, drinking can be fun, but not when you come in reeking of it and puking at work! Ick!

And I certainly don't want anyone running the rides while drunk or severely hungover.

You know there's nothing good on TV when you're desperate enough to specifically look for infomercials.

Hey, I didn't say you shouldn't drink at all...I said have fun, but respect yourself (I wouldn't say that if I didn't think you were worth it!). I realize people do have the ability to control their behavior, including many Cedar Point employees. However, talking about "stumbling to work" the next morning makes me think you're planning on going just a bit above and beyond moderation. ^_~

As for "do-gooders," I'm assuming you're drawing a mental line and putting yourself on the opposite side. That right there signals to me that you know something is just a bit wrong about coming to work still drunk after a night of partying. I don't consider myself a "do-gooder;" I consider myself a responsible adult. I'm not 21 yet, so I don't drink. Why? Because I think of consequences first, and that's just what I'm hoping any employee will do. That's maturity.

As areaareaw said, there are consequences for irresponsible behavior, and anyone who values their job would be considering those consequences before making the decision to drink. Before your day off, enjoy yourself any way you like, but be careful about what you choose to do any other day. Sooner or later, those that play with fire get themselves burned.
