tips for a trip in 2011

I am going with my family sometime during the 2011 season. I was wondering if anyone knew when you can start reserving spots at camper village for next season. Also, what would be the best time to visit (smaller crowd)? It would be myself, my wife, our then 4 year old, and the inlaws, so we would want to be able to pretty much do everything there. Any tips would be great. Hopefully I can get a ride on the windseeker next year. :)

They usually start taking reservations in the February-March-April timeframe. Check back after the new year and they'll be able to give you a definitive date.

Visiting in May and early June during the week is usually a good bet. Either that or late August during the week.

I agree that mid-late august is good. I would have to say a Mon-Wed trip if you can or basically any day Mon-Fri, weekends can get pretty busy regardless the time of year

I was at the park a lot this year. Late may was not as great as I expected due to large crowds for Math/Science week. Early June (first week) was excellent as Michigan was still in school.

Last week of August was also quite good, as some Ohio schools are back in. And the early Halloweekends Fri and Sun are usually good. Outside of all those dates, the park is usually pretty crowded if the weather is decent. Still, you can get lucky mid-summer, but it's hard to predict.
