Time to replace Snoopy?

Yes, but this is a completely different horse. Whether the park was managed properly or not, the reading program was one of the biggest PR blunders that DK has ever made.

That was certainly an epic failure of judgment.

I was thinking more along the lines of the elimination of the animal exhibits, and how CF seriously underestimated the value of the marine life or its impact on attendance.

I doubt it. KI would suffer, I'm sure, probably for a number of years as pissed off parents voted with their absence of feet. In the long term, though, it's the only thing Cincy has going for a park. It's a much different situation than Geauga Lake had. Still, it's a bad road that I hope they don't try to go down.

Yeah, the only way I see it happening (logically) is for Viacom to decide they don't want to license it anymore. At which point it is no fault of the parks for having to remove it.

That doesn't mean I couldn't see DK being dumb enough to drop them, but I think even he realizes how bad of a decision that would be.

Snoopy is so much cooler than Nick crap. Which is nothing but educational crap, nothing fun about it, A lot of kids love it but I believe that is mostly because it's shoved down their throat left and right, kids generally at an early age like what they're exposed to. Snoopy is not educational just fun, I'm not a big fan of cartoons, but I do love Snoopy, and I know a lot of people who do also.
I live in Northern KY, and let me tell you in the past year Snoopy is all over the place. I'm seeing more Snoopy than I have in years, especially at Christmas time Snoopy was everywhere this year.
Also Snoopy is something that appeals to kids and adults, which is great, not many adults give a hoot about Nick cartoons, other than there kids liking it, and it can get on your nerves after awhile.
I keep hoping some day, Snoopy will come here to Kings Island, would be a big improvement!

You must not have seen all the golden tickets the park has won for the kiddy land themed to nick. How many golden tickets has snoopy won?

And I have never found sponge bob all that educational.

I wish they would grow some balls and bring back Scooby! He is definately the best cartoon EVER! It is not an opion it is fact. ;) Scooby was/is great and kids still know him very well. Nothing even comes close to Scooby and the gang. Bring 'em back!

Scooby was never at Cedar Point, so he can't be 'brought back'. However, he is alive and well at three Cedar Fair parks.

Bring back the Banana Splits - now there is a corporate mascot.

The Fact of the matter is Snoopy is great for Cedar Point because it appeals to both kids and adults. My kids love snoopy and so do I. Whenever i see snoopy i gotta give him a hand shake and say thanks. You would not catch me dead walking up to that stupid sponge. BUT i would however Walk up to Scooby! If they do decide to lose the Snoopy they better bring in the Scooby!

Could you imagine CP having the "Mystery Machine" during Halloweekends??? That would be so cool! :)
