I think the style that Blue Sky has developed for the new Peanuts movie is very cool:

Hopefully this helps raise awareness for the characters and spur interest in the parks with cross-promotion.
I know I'm resurrecting a discussion from 2012 but I suggested Nintendo as a replacement / addition to the Peanuts gang. Looks like Universal sees the potential in the Nintendo IP for theme park use and has snatched up the rights. Cedar Fair's loss but at least we know it'll be in good hands with Universal. I think this is their answer to the Star Wars land Disney has up their sleeves. I'm excited
Don't you think that if Universal is going to enter a license agreement with Nintendo that it's going to have an exclusivity clause? Besides, that's an awful set of IP to logo your parks with.

We have a 9 year old in the house who absolutely loves Snoopy and Peanuts. She was ecstatic when we brought her to Kings Island with all the Snoopy/Peanuts around the kids area.
I've seen this argument around the block many times, but Peanuts and Snoopy are classics, and if anything, it's making a comeback with kids these days.

When we were waiting in line for Millennium Force I noticed that they were playing a trailer for this movie on the monitors in the que.
So after building up anticipation all summer watching the trailer on FUN TV I finally got to see the Peanuts movie and it was everything I was hoping for. They did it right and stayed true to what a Peanuts feature has always been, no updating/changing characters to appeal to a different era or any of that nonsense. All that's missing are the Dolly Madison commercials.
Absolutely agree.
Anecdotally, our 3 year old daughter has taken a liking to The Peanuts since her first visit to CP last year. And there was much Peanuts anticipation for this year's visits. Now, not only is she excited to see the movie, we watched It's the Great Pumpkin probably a half dozen times in October. So yeah, I'd say the IP has been a wise investment for the park.
