Come to think of it, there isn't any American beer I'd choose over something from nearly any other country.
Jeff, if you ever get the chance, try a King Ludwig Wiess beer and a Xingu Brazilian beer...
both are my favorites when it comes to beer and both can kick your butt!!
gonna go look for some Molson XXX now...

There are tons more Tim Hortons planned for Ohio, Michigan and New York over the next year. I work for a company that supplies all of the POS equipment to all of the Hortons. You can expect to see a big presence of these stores in the near future...for instance I opened three stores in the Dayton area over a two week period.
In some instances, "POS" means one thing and in others it means something totally different. I hope in this case "POS" means "Point of Sale" and not "Piece of..." You get the idea.

I've been to a number of Tim Horton's in Canada. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, so I can't judge them on that, just the donuts. The donuts are good, but not really that big of a deal. About the same as Duncan Donuts in quality. So, I guess the addiction to Tim Horton's must be a Canadian thing that I don't really understand. Didn't Wendy's buy Tim Horton's a few years ago? Anyway, never mind, just give me a Molson XXX and forget about the donuts.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Wendy's bought TDL (Tim Hortons Ltd) for around 55 million Canadian in '95 or '96.
Ron Joyce, the former CEO of Timmies (and the co-founder) still essentially runs it, and still presides as president of the Tim Hortons Children's Foundation.
Bit of history for you... Ron Joyce bought out Tim Horton's wife's shares after Tim Horton died for less than half a million dollars in the seventies...
Not a bad return on his investment, eh?

Tim Hortons, eh? I likely know of every single Tim Hortons on route to all my favourite vacation spots. In Canada, Tim Hortons is like a religion... or at the very least, like a friendly neighbourhood dispenser of addictive substances.
So very true...
In Windsor, on a single street, you can look all the way down and see 3 Tim's... :)
