Does anyone know why the removed the awnings from Calypso? I'll bet it made for a neat visual effect while the ride was in motion.

Actualy it did add to the ride Vanessa. It was a beutiful ride before they moved it to the current location. I still cant figure out why the did not put the scenery back on when they moved it.

that's quite a shame... they should have kept the scenery...lets push for a return to the original CP flat ride scenery!!!

I seem to remember that the Calypso had the BEST light show on the midway. The hearts in the background all lit up and patterned with the rest of them. That is just too bad that it is stripped of all glory. The light show really helps make a ride.
