hello everyone, i'm new to this website and enjoy it very much. about thursday's announcement of project 2007. since the park will be closed will the announcement be on their website or will they have any live media coverage?
I believe Walt said TTD was announced very early, I think 5am. maXair and Skyhawk were put on the site around 9-10 in the morning.
MF was the last ride to be announced when the park was open.

thanks guy's. i was hoping maybe they would have some local new's channels around but i guess we have to settle for sanduskyregister.com.
I'm sure that news channels in NE Ohio will have something about it.

There's no need to worry about the fastest way to find out. Outside of cedarpoint.com, it'll be right here.
Well I'm pretty sure he already recieved the basic "media package," if you will.** So, I'm sure as soon as he gets the good word, it'll be on the site instantly. I know I'm checking that day before I go to classes, and I'm pretty sure it'll be here.
**Explanation on this belief. In another thread, Walt said "The site decided they wanted to play by a different set of rules than everyone else. " My assumtion is that the information about the ride was given out to whoever CP calls "the media," along with a set of rules. Screamscape broke those rules. But back to my point...I think that Walt already has all of the information that will be on the site Thursday morning. Thus, it should be on here ASAP. lol.
Last public train of 2005 on MF!
Walt, will you be sending out an e-mail to the mailing list when the announcement is made? The reason I'm asking is I can check my e-mail at work, but the firewall blocks PointBuzz...
"If at first you don't succeed... don't try skydiving"
I think he said a while back that there would indeed be one.

Walt, thanks for all you have done thus far with keeping everyone updated on whats been happening with project 2007. If i could i would give you a golden ticket for best run Cedar point site.
Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.
Man if they did the announcement around midnight that would give me sumthin to stay up for. Hopefully they will announce it early this Thursday and I can see it before I go to school. If not I'll try and use my lunch and it should be posted by noon.

I think I'm going to stay up late that night until like midnight, go to bed and then wake up at 4 am just to see if they annouced it.

AFAIK, Screamscape never agreed to any "rules". Their source maybe, but not Screamscape. Don't make accusations that shouldn't be made. Whether you (or anyone else) likes it or not, Lance is under no agreement to keep things secret if they come across his desk. Blame the source, not Screamscape.
I'll fade back into the woodwork now... *** Edited 9/5/2006 4:25:14 AM UTC by SpenceMan01***
SpenceMan01, you and IWantBansheeBack are looking at the case in two different ways. Each one makes sense, in its case.

That is the time I go to bed.
Really every night I usually go to bed around 3-4am. I think they might announce it when the Local News come on with their morning shows, so the news media can say "Live from Cedar Point the big announcement..." or something like that.
