Well, after having such a good day on Tuesday, I decided to go back yesterday. The forecast called for cold, and 10-20 mph winds. I guess the winds were more like 35+. And boy was it cold.

When I got there, there was a bunch of busses in the lot. I thought maybe it was physics day, and I was disappointed right from the start. Turns out it wasn't, but there was a lot of schools there anyway doing physics experiments. Kids are nuts. I saw some of them wearing shorts and a tshirt and flip flops! I was FREEZING and I was wearing 2 Cedar Point jackets, my maXair sweatshirt, and then my normal Jeans and a Tshirt under that.

Anyway, a quick check proved that Tony's Baby MF was still stuck on the lift hill due to the catchcar problem they were having the night before. So MF was down. Dragster, Magnum, Gemini, Mean Streak were all down due to Wind. Wicked Twister was down Mechanical. Disaster Transport was down Mechanical. maXair was up and down all day due to Mechanical. Eventually Disaster and Wicked Twister ran, although Wicked still had mechanical problems a good portion of the day. Raptor had an hour wait when I got to the park around 11:30.

Power Tower ran consistently, and I got a ride on that, along with a few rides on Raptor(which was surpsingly up), Wildcat, Wicked Twister and Disaster. I ended the day with a ride on maXair. Definitely not the same day I had tuesday. I also got a ride on Dragster in when it opened up. The line, however, was about an hour long when I got off.

In the middle of this, however, I had a chance to go to Midway Market. The waitress we had was very nice, and the food was excellent as always. I'm glad they're honoring the Joe Cool discounts, even if its only a buck a person.

So that's about it, really. After a full day at the park, I didn't have many rides to show for it. I still had fun, but it wasn't like my marathon riding on Tuesday.

The groups were there for Career Exploration day. I was supposed to be there with one group from my school but I had an appt. I'm so glad I went on Monday instead of yesterday. Monday the weather was beautiful and everything was a walk-on!

It was karma, I'm telling you, because this same group and myself were at Disneyland last month and while I'm there trying to enjoy myself (I'm a big fan of Disney parks) everyone else is being immature and saying how much better Cedar Point is than Disneyland and how much they all couldn't wait to go to Cedar Point on the 12th even though they're two totally different types of parks! I laughed so hard when I heard that most of the big rides were closed.

I feel bad for the people that were planning on a just-for-fun trip that day, but as far as the group that I knew was going, I don't feel the least bit sorry for them!

Yeah, my Tuesday Trip was so much nicer. Darn career exploration day. I still think some people were there for physics because they were doing mathematical problems and what not. I had some kids ask me questions about physics, I guess because I was wearing my staff jacket from last season.

I was there that day! My school went for just Student council and Honor Society, not any particular reason we just went because.. I dont know hard years work? (even though I was just inducted to NHS this year) If you saw a tiny person in a black hoodie that said "Munchkin" in big yellow letters that was me! And yeah, thursday was definitely not the same as any other CP trip I have been on. Very cold, and almost all the normal rides I ride were down. I rode Raptor twice, WT once, maXair once, DT once, Mantis once, Dragster about 10 minutes after it got fixed, Blue streak once.. and a few flat rides. It was almost dissapointing because Millie and Maggie were down, almost made me want to make them a get well card! I was with my boyfriend though, so that cheered me up :). I'm really glad I got him on Dragster, he seemed to really love it! Hopefully coastermania will have better weather!

I wouldn't doubt it. There was a big group sitting in front of Blue Streak on Monday doing physics work too. I think a bunch of schools know that Physics Day is pretty popular and try to create their own unofficial physics day by just going some random day in May.

Last year, it really annoyed me when
A) The teachers thought that Power Tower drop side was a freefall instead of a Powered Drop. That always got the students to ask us questions we didn't know (heh). And,
B) The teachers told kids to bring G-Force instruments on the ride. So they were a little upset when we told them that the G-Force instrument would have to sit the ride out on the white shelves.

There's one official Physics Day, but just about every other day this time of year becomes an unofficial Physics Day. It's even mentioned in this article.
