Every year it seems that I am introducing someone else to Cedar Point, and I love it. :) This year we took my 15 year old cousin. She was supposed to go with school and couldn't, so she was really bummed.
We started the morning with 2 rides on Gemini. Front seat of course. We rode the red train, and lost both times. My cousin loved it.
Unfortunately after that my sister didn't feel so well. :( So we walked her back to the car so she could rest up, and we headed to Magnum. It was my cousins first time on Maggie so I was very excited!!
We rode in the middle, and it was a great ride. We rode twice, and I'm happy to say that she loved it as much as I did. Finally I have someone to ride it with me.
After that we headed over to TTD. It was the first time I rode it since 2005. It was a pretty fun ride, but still not worth the wait. My favorite part is looking straight down on top. She ended up falling in love with it, claiming it as her new favorite coaster/thrill ride.
From there we rode a few carnival rides. We also snuck in another ride on Magnum. Just can't get enough of it. :)
We headed back to the car, and ate lunch under a tree while watching Gemini. It was a pretty great lunch. My sister was feeling a bit better after taking some dramamine, but she still wanted to take it slow.
We decided that we would hit Thunder Canyon, that way the heat wouldn't get to my sis. On the way we stopped at Mine Ride. My favorite part about riding smaller coasters like those are the little kids that ride with you. Their reaction to the coaster makes it so much funner.
After that we took 2 rides on Thunder Canyon, getting soaked both times. :) Shoot the Rapids looks great too. I cannot wait to get back to ride it.
We then headed up to Iron Dragon, and Disastor Transport. We rode with our sunglasses on and it made it a bit funner. I wish they would just pick one theme for that ride and stick with it.
Then it was time for Raptor. Front seat of course. We didn't have time to ride it twice which kind of bummed me out, because you cannot just ride that one once.
We ate at Johnny Rocket's. Food prices are still rediculous!! For 6 chicken tenders, 2 sodas, a shake, and hot dog it came to $36.00. It was worth it though to see my cousin crack up when they were dancing. She had no idea that they did that there, so we wanted to surprise her.
From there we met up with Ben H at Magnum. We sat in the "grandma seats" as he calls it. lol. We did it for my sis, because she didn't want to have a rough ride, get sick, and not beable to ride MF.
We ended our night on MF with Ben H. I thought it was a fun ride, but my cousin didn't like it too much. I don't understand how she can love TTD, but complain that Millenium Force is too fast. lol.
My sis nor my cousin had yet to see Starlight Experience, so we walked down Frontier Trail as we headed back to the car. They thought it was pretty cool. I thought it was better last year.
Overall it was a really fun trip. Not so ideal with my sis getting sick, and stopping for games, cotton candy, etc. for my cousin..but I'm glad that she had fun.
My obsession for Cedar Point is back in full force. :) We are already planning a trip for the week after the 4th of July. It will definately be a two day trip this time, because one day is just not enough for me.
"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"
