We got to the park at about 10:00 in order to walk straight to Top Thril Dragster which had a wait about 20 - 30 minutes. While we were in line, we noticed Maitenence crews working on Power Tower, which ended up being closed for most ofthe day, but eventually opened around 6.
Next, we ventured over to Magnum XL - 200 which had basically a walk-on with only two trains running. Gemini was next for about four times all with walk-ons but only with the Blue train running at first. They finally started to warm up the red train while we were there which created it to have no line at all.
We journied over to the newest addition to Cedar Point, Maverick, and got in line to what the sign said was a 1 hour and 30 minute wait. The line took very long and moved rather slowly until we got to the old WWL station, but its expected with a new coaster. The crews were trying hard to keep everything occuring and no major downtimes occured. The tunnel part is great, however, I don't believe there was any fog on, but there was some sort of mist or air that felt heated as we blasted through the tunnel. There was no pipe over the canyon on, but the water bombs were on.
Next we grabbed some lunch across from Gemini, and walked over to maXair to see that it was down for mechanical reasons and turned to go on Wicked Twister for a 20 minute wait. When we were finished, maXair was up and we waited for about 15 minutes for that ride.
We hit up Blue Streak which was almost dead in the station. There was very few people in there and it was a complete walk-on when we got up there. Raptor was next for a 30 minute wait. We walked over to Demon Drop to ride and it ended up being another walk-on.
We grabbed another quick dinner and got in line for Maverick for round 2. Great ride, but annoying ride music. Overall, ride went quick and ended up being about an hour wait. SkyHawk was next for a 20 minute wait which was due to their long load/unload times. Snake River Falls was also broken down for some reason, but was back up by the time we got off SkyHawk and that was another walk-on. We got completely drenched on that ride, but whats new?
We dried off, and went to Gemini for four rounds to air dry a little more. There was not really any line for that again, so we kept doing it until we got bored. Next we noticed Power Tower was back up, and we didn't want to wait in the green line, so we got shot up in the red.
Next, it was time for Millennium Force, which had a quick moving line and about a 20 minute wait. It was a nice, smooth ride. We wanted to go on Top Thrill Dragster next, but noticed it was down for mechanical reasons and saw the mechanics working on the launch pad. Instead, we went for another round on Power Tower which had no wait and Magnum which had about a 30 minute wait.
Dragster was back up and running and we decided to take another race on it. The line moved quickly and it was about a 15 minute wait, since it just re-opened. We made our way to the front of the park to end on a Raptor flight. Raptor had absolutely no line and we walked up to the station, which was a bit of a surprise. Overall it was a great day, with great weather, and a great ride count!
I haven't read any reports of MF having too much of a long line recently. This is good!
30 minutes for Magnum! I don't know if I could do that. It would be really hard after waiting no more than 20 minutes for the past 4-5 years. Having Maverick and TTD both running consistently probably makes a difference in line lengths, especially for Magnum.
