Myself, the wife and two kids made our annual trek to the Point last week. Arrived in the Soak City lot at about 10:10. First up Magnum, the line was all the way in the station, as we arrived they "unchained" the two cars that they were not using up to the point. It's so nice to walk on a ride first thing in the morning. After that was Witches Wheel. My son finally broke the 54" barrier and was able to go on everything. We then headed over to Gemini. They were only running the blue train yet the line was all the way down the steps. Mean Streak was next on the agenda. Nice to see that it's still the spine rattler that it's always been. I won't bore you with every ride we went on but I will say that after noon the park really did start to fill up. There was a ONE HOUR WAIT for Disaster Transport. I finally convinced the kids that that ride is not worth a wait over ½ an hour. Several of the flat rides had between a 15 and 30 minute wait. Millenium Force and Maverick were both over an hour wait so we didn't go on those.
A couple of things I noticed: 1. People who were smoking obviously knew that they were in violation of park rules because they would cup it in their hand instead of keeping it between their fingers. I passed someone smoking on the midway near Dragster, about 5 seconds later I saw a park employee and told them about it. I then watched the employee walk right past the smoker without saying a word to them. 2. I'm all for the park hiring foreigners but please do not let them make the ride announcements! It's hard enough understanding Americans because the quality of the PA systems are so bad let allow a foreigner!
All in all it was a good trip. We left about 9:00 and the parking lot was about three rows from the back!

Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. My first trip back to CP this year (after a 3 year break), my first ride of the morning was Magnum. It was also a walk on. And yes it is awesome after that long ride to beable to walk into the park and hop right on your favorite coasters. What a ride that was. :)
