We got to the park early to check in to Breakers. Not a lot of people milling about. With the extra hour we walked on Maverick 3 times, rode Millennium twice, both walk ons, then went for two more walk ons with Raptor. The forecast was chance of showers. It was cool, low to mid 60s, and overcast but it never rained. The whole day Thursday we walked on everything but Top Thrill. It wasn't running much all day. We waited an hour later in the day but it sat motionless for 30 min of that time. It was possibly one of the least crowded I've ever seen and I've never missed a season in 31 years. Throughout the day we would see everything running with half empty trains because there wasn't enough people to fill them. All in all a great day.

Friday we did the same thing as Thursday for the first hour. Walked on Mav 3, then MF 2, but as we headed toward Raptor, the clock struck 10 and the park filled up. Longer lines throughout the day but kind of cleared out later on and was still a pretty good day. It was sunny and very nice all day. But for the morning and early afternoon, a wind blew a lot of low fog over the park and rides while the sun was still shining. There were times you couldn't see TTD behind Power Tower. We waited for Top Thrill for 2 hrs while it had a couple of mechanical issues. I was next in the queue when the blue train rolled back twice in a row. They brought it back, let me get in and a few others as some wanted off. It was an awkward launch...the engine roared for a while then stopped. Then it repeated "hands down" a couple of times then the lights went and so did we. It's the anticipation that really gets me. The trained rolled back for the third time in a row. Finally got my rollback! The girls in front of me had never ridden it and got to experience 4 launches in a row before they finally made it over. After the rollback, they actually launched us again very quickly and we made it over. My friends were next to me in line and didn't have the opportunity to ride it because ours was the last train to launch for some time. Finished with night rides on Raptor, Magnum, and TTD...from 9 to close. TTD was really pushing trains through that night. Maverick and TTD spent a lot of time down on Friday but everything else was running well.

It was a great couple of days at the park...good weather and great then good crowds. I also have to give the employees some credit. Everyone in that place does everything. I mean,I watched suit and ties sweeping. Everyone's always smiling and very friendly. Here are some pics of that fog from Friday, plus a couple more (made the PagodaCam!). Sometimes you can't see anything. Hope I didn't ramble too much. Just wanted to share another great time at America's RollerCoast!

Eat 'em up, Tigers, eat 'em up!

I was surprised how few people were there Thursday. Normally there are way more school field trips and physics students during that week. I don't know if the three days of nonstop rain caused some schools to cancel, or if it's budget cuts, or what. In any case, it worked out well for me. :) It only sprinkled rain for a few minutes twice the whole day, and wasn't windy at all, which was another bonus. In a simple sweatshirt and long pants I was quite comfortable, even too warm at one point.

Mini-trip-report: We got in around 9:15 and rode MilF five times in a row, with the wheelchair gate open for re-entry. I believe our longest wait of the day was half an hour for Dragster. If my one friend hadn't gotten an upset stomach and the other a pinched nerve in his foot, all in all it would've been a great day!

Nice trip report. Seems like Dragsters going through typical opening season fits. Should be done with those soon.

Oh and that Raptor pic is boss. :)
