Thunder Canyon future?

Being the last water ride left, what do we think the future entails? I sure hope it stays as it is one of my favorites!

Hoping after a season or two it will be one of two water rides, including a well themed flume.

First ride; Magnum 1994

I wish they would replant trees so the station is deep in the woods again, like it was before Maverick.

Unfortunately, there's not much open space for additional foliage, except maybe on the west side between TC and Perimeter Road.

As for the ride itself, I sure hope it stays around for a while. Our family had an absolute riot together taking several laps a couple seasons ago, and that's a pretty rare thing in the park anymore. It's also one of the very few rides that, because of the amount of 40-year old growth in and around it, feels like you're transported somewhere else for a few minutes.

I wholeheartedly agree. I had not ridden TC for well over a decade until my girls asked me to ride it with them a few seasons ago. It had been so long I forgot what to expect, but it was a ton of fun doing that together, and now it's a must-ride on the right type of day.

I've come to enjoy TC once again at this stage in my life as well. On the really hot days visiting the park, I'll wear swim trunks and take a lap on TC. I also enjoy a drink from Trail Tavern while relaxing in one of the rocking chairs on the TC observation deck.

Yes! That's another somewhat unique element of TC - watching from the deck and trying to guess who, if anyone, is going to get soaked. Something our family also got a lot of enjoyment out of.
