Three stations! Load, Unload, Clean Seats!

Holy crap! The new coaster is more than 90 degrees! Look at this link:

That track will go under itself! Yep, they'll deffinantaly need a cleaning station, to clean off the mess that riders make when they crap their pants!

Link dont work, MySql problems. I think Jeff has hinted that already. I already noticed how the track angle is starting to take shape. This is definalty going to be intresting.

Edit- Works now, Yea thats what i meant...you can see the angle of the track its like your upside down.

I had problems with the link too. It's cause so many people are checking it out. Just keep trying.
...It's because it's doing that nifty 270 degree spiral on the way down. :)

Its hard to tell if its real or just the web cams strange lense.

"Sit down right, hold on tight, and enjoy your flight on Shivering Timbers!!"

That isn't more than 90 degrees... it just looks that way because of the camera angle. Also, like Zero-G mentioned, the track on the far side is twisting so it is off center a bit.

I don't see what you are talking about...but maybe its the lens. Hope not! That be fricken awesome!
I have been thinking the downside was going to be 270 degrees.. but what about the upside? Are we going to see a full 360 degree counter clockwise spiral? That would be simply off the hizzy!

100+ mph launch, followed by a strong G uphill into a 360* twist, over the top for some massive airtime, then straight down into another 360* twist into another strong G pull out. Sounds Great! (if it were true...)
BTW, I'm a (hobbyist) photographer...when someone needs to shoot a super-wide angle (and doesn't want to pay $1500 for the lens), what often will happen is that the convex shape of the lens will make the horizon appear spherical...this is called the Fish Eye effect. That's what's happening with the linked photo at the top of the page, and with webcam 3 on CP's website. (Just a little FYI..)
When we first noted the rear support bowing in toward the front of the tower,3 or 4 people said it was the lens then too. When we went to the park that weekend,we found out it wasn't.

Well I have been reading all these posts forever so I finnaly decided to write one. If you look at the picture in question, http://www.thrillnetwork.com/boards/attachment.php?s=&postid=322795 then u will see that the top bar that is holding the track is longer off the tower then the one directly below it. It is roughly the same size as the 3rd one down so this track is definatley past 90 degrees now.

The track is definately beyond the 90* like stated BUT if the track is twisting it might just be like that because the twists will be heartline twists.

"Who needs drugs when you have Cedar Point."

The track is just twisting thats it. Its not changing angles.
what if it dose a cobra role at the top that would be phat

it would invert then

The track has to come away from the supports to do the twisting, like zero-g said. If it didn't, you would hit the support. It will be like a heartline roll, just like WT. If you stand directly under WT, you can look straight through the twist, like it is a cylinder. I don't think it is going to be more that 90 degrees, it just looks like that.

Thats what I said.
MFM - I think you may be right about the cobra roll (or at least something like a cobra roll). The track is definitely moving away from the tower!
Of course it is moving away from the tower otherwize the car would hit the tower. But it still is going to at a 90 degree angle.
yea that fish eye effect is so very true...just look at the other 2 sites to get a better perspective i gess....
