Speaking purely from my experience, the summer season seemed to be a bit busier than what I'm used to on the days I was in the park. Halloweekends felt less busy than usual, which makes sense given that it rained nearly every weekend.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I would say the summer season was similar to the last couple of years. I didn't see any Saturdays were it was extremely packed. Big crowds yes, but not crazy big.
The crowds for Halloweekends appeared smaller. Weather played a role in that without a doubt. I think there were four Friday nights were there was considerable rain and some wet Saturdays too. While HW Saturdays were crowded nothing approached a mega crowd where cars were parked on the grass overflow area. The second last Sunday was a record crowd for an HW Sunday I was told by a veteran employee. He said the park was not expecting anywhere near the size crowd that showed up that day.
^I agree! I think I metioned it a while ago over the summer right after I went to Six Flags Great Adventure for the first time, but CP really needs more misters and fans. What I loved about SFGA was that throughout the park they had giant misters that you could push a button and mist would come out.

I have mixed feelings about the land, sea, and space theme. On one hand, the themes flowed very well together and looked great on stage. However, I don't really understand how the name "Luminosity" has to do with any of those things. The show was produced from an outside company due to time constraints last year, so I think we will see a little bit of change if Cedar Point Live E will produce the show in house.
I thought Luminosity was a very good show. However, it did seem to drag on... and on... and on...
I don't want to throw everyone off of the Luminosity discussion, but I really enjoyed the starlight experience. Luminosity seemed to replace Starlight. Yeah they still had some of the FT lights up, but they didn't play the Starlight music like they did in the pervious years.
^^I wish Starlight would be revamped. Add the soundtrack again, fix the lights that don't work, and maybe even add more lights, possibly extending beyond Frontier Trail (sort of like what they did this year with the Main Midway.)

The lights that were in Frontier Town are the ones now on the main midway. That is why Frontier Town looks so dead compared to when Starlight first opened.
^^I agree. The Skeleton Crew show was legit. I would rather them do that over the summer than what is currently offered as Luminosity.

Actually they ordered all new lights and controls for the main midway. The lights and controls for Starlight Experience are still on the trail.
I hope that they decide to update and refresh the Starlight Experience to make it a smoother transition with the new "look" of the park. I just hope they don't get rid of it entirely!

I know there are a lot of new lighting systems on the main midway, but I was told that the Christmas type lights that were placed on the buildings were brought over from Starlight. Like these: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/brdSDCetXrY/0.jpg
I'm sure wherever I heard that though is wrong, so I'll believe you.

Naw the lights for Starlight are 2 wire lights, and the ones for the Midway are 3 wire lights. Though they are the same style of lights so I can see where someone could be confused just by looking at them.
