This Sunday is Season Pass Holder's Appreciation Day

Very last minute of them, telling us three days before. I got the e-mail from the park today, here are the details:

ERT on Millennium Force 10-11am
ERT on Dragster 8:30-9:30pm

There will also be a scavenger hunt for a chance to win private ride time on Millennium Force for you and 35 friends in 2011. It seems much easier than the ones they had in the past.

This Sunday is usually a good day to visit, hopefully it will hold true this year too.

So......an hour of ERT on MF, plus the 11-12 ERT on the normal ert rides, PLUS an hour on TDD after closing!?!? I know where we will be on Sunday.

The park may be a little crowded due to the Rev3 triathlon going on this Sunday.

At least they'll be running / swimming / biking and not waiting in line for rides :)

Is the Scavenger Hunt available for download? I didn't get the email and have not been able to locate it on CP's website.

Looks like great weather for Sunday. Wish I could make it.

A little warning would have been nice. Oh well, I'm booking a hotel for Saturday night now.

If I would have known about it A week ago, I may have been able to go. We already have plans to go to the Michigan renaissance festival.

We were gonna go to the Ren Fest, but spent way too much money at Comerica Park last Friday. :)

No, but a couple near us did. We spent our money on overpriced alcohol.

Well, this promotion just sold me! ;) I'm glad to hear the Passholder Appreciation Day is returning, and I couldn't be more excited about their very poor marketing / advertisement for it. It should create some great bonus ride time, but what are they thinking?

I didn't think they'd ever make this mistake again after they sprung Season Passholder Appreciation Day out of the blue last year, but leave it to CP's promotional department. ;)

Anyway, I'm pumped...this should be a great day. Are there any other perks for renewing on Passholder Appreciation Day? Coupons or garbage bag and I'm in...

Does anyone know if we can only go in the front gate on Sunday for the ERT on Millennium at 10am? Or if the resort gates will open as well?

Passholder Appreciation Day 2009 was simply the best day I've had at CP as long as I can remember, mainly because no one knew it was open and everything was a literal walk-on. It was by far the least crowded I've ever seen Cedar Point in 20+ years.

I don't imagine Sunday will be anything like it, but these poorly advertised bonus hours might be just as good. Anyway, I was disappointed that CP didn't do a Season Pass Holder Appreciation Day this year, and I'm so excited they sprung it at the last minute! I feel so appreciated... ;)

The scavenger hunt is really easy. Now I must formulate my new Top Thrill Dragster first train plan. Because I just know that if I go ride Millennium Force for the ert there will be a big line already for Dragster with people hoping for a Rollback like usual.
