Things that remind me of CP

When ever I am happy I just think of cedar point.  It could be that i am going someplace fun or even when a good song is on. But the one thing that reminds me the most of CP, is train's song: Drops of Jupiter.  Tat is one of my fav songs just for that reason.  Another song that reminds me of CP, is that song by, i think the name os the group is 5 for fighting or something. Their song "superman", reminds me too.  Well am I the only one? What reminds you guys of CP?

Whenever I hear a large truck or semi's brakes making that air-popping noise.. reminds me of being in line underneath the MS and Gemini stations...

And I think everyone has those one or two personal songs that remind them of the Point... but I think everyone clicks Mantis into mind when they hear "My Sharona"... exactly *how* many times do you hear that song when you're in line?  The correct answer is:  too many. ;)

EVERYTHING reminds me of CP!!! especially since i am now in the middle of trying to organize our group outing to CP for next season...

I hate cigarette smoke in the lines a CP, and they do their best to stop it, but whenever I smell some types of cigarette smoke, it reminds me of the Point.

When a car breaks when it rains outside...sounds like Millennium Force's breaks. Also, when I see those poles that blink so the airplanes won't hit them.

Cranes and such...many certain songs(we won't go there)..

i agree with the blinking lights on the big towers... space spiral of course

now for songs... anything from the Dodgem Cars..  those always stick in my head..

the smell of burger king in the parking lot... Charbroiled burgers underneath the sky ride....so much more to list but you guys dont have enough time to read... well, ill take that back, you probably do, but i dont have enough time to write it all, LOL

CP_Bound-.  IVAN is talking about the Five for Fighting song "Superman".  The main part goes like :

"I'm more than a bird, I'm more than a plane, I'm more than some pretty face beside a train.  And its not easy to be me." 

Its the song that the NYC firefighters and police picked as their 'theme song' after Sept. 11th.  A very good song IMO and it does kind of remind me of Cedar Point.  IVAN has good taste! :-)

For one, there are a few different songs.  B52s-Love Shack,  Men Without Hats-Saftey Dance, My Sherona, YMCA (thanks to Johny Rockets), The Dirtbombs- Cedarpoint 76.  Also at school for the "school store" they added some little queue line post up and that reminds me of CP.  Just about anything realy can make me think of CP though, and when I am like trying to think of a relaxing spot, I think of the Point.

Well the Dumpster at Wendys Reminds me of Disaster Transport! It is full of junk! But Thinking of a bug makes me think about Mantis! And MF anything tall!

First and foremost Proud to be an American reminds me of Cedar Point. I still remember hearing it everynight during the laser show and every morning after September 11. Another thing that reminds me of the park is the smell that comes from rain...it makes me miss the park......Can't wait til I get to go back to work!

If anybody has been in the Nautical Mile vacinity of St Clair Shores, around 9-Mile and Jefferson, you know the 9-Mile apartment tower, with the rotating light on top. Seeing that red light on top reminds me of the light on MF.

(Although ever since the tower was struck by lightning, the light has been stuck with the white light facing west, and the red light facing to the lake...)

ok first of all ~Crazy Carl4u~NEVER EVER diss DT again! Althugh you may not like it i personally love the ride. Everything dossn't have to be turning riders upside down or plummeting them 200+Feet to be good.

Second~I know it's off  opic but I don't wanna waste space by starting a whole new thread~The night top bar on cp's website...the space of demondrop and it's surroundings look like the lochness monster...ok i was really bored...but i am now too and feel like posting it so :P :)

9 mile, ehe? Do you live around there? If so, apparently we live quite close... I live in Harper Woods by 8 mile.

Anyway, whenever I go past a construction site, and I see the cranes, they always remind me of Cedar Point. That and bridges... I think it's the supports. Odd.

You guys are making me miss home!  I grew up at 19 Mile & Romeo Plank in Clinton Township :)

Yes, bridges remind me so much of CP. And then there is this poster of who knows what, but it is tall and bllue and reinds me of the MF. And mustang's rite.  That 5 for fighting song, "superman", reminds me of for some reason of the MF too. Or just a rollercoaster.   I love it.
