^ Clearly. That's why they're selling it. What crew is that on? Are all of those flats over there one crew?
I remember picking up my paycheck, and some ride hosts picked it up from either Planet Snoopy or Ocean Motion or Chaos. I think the ride hosts switch off in some manner similar to Matterhorn Triangle

By what parameters exactly? Ride length? I would assume it reaches its max height currently, so maybe the number of swings it does while at max height?
Ding, ding, ding!! We have a winner. :)
Yes it's mostly ride length. From what I see on several youtube videos of it and what I remember from the last time I was on it a number of years ago, they start slowing you down right after like 1 swing at max height.
I remember as a teenager the ride cycle time was much longer and you swung quite a few times at max height (and I think the motors were a little better then to have a little more kick to get you up a little bit higher.)
It can't go much higher than what it does because of the kind of "lapbar" restraint system it uses, which is more there to just keep you from standing up while in motion than to hold you in.
I think it's messed up that they have limited the cycles on Ocean Motion. Think about how much fun the ride would be if they had 4 or 5 cycles on it. I'm curious too. Where are they going to storage this ride? I bet that is going to take up a lot of space somewhere in the storage buildings.
I can think of several places in the park that the ride would fit in.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I wanted to bring this topic back. I forget what article in Screamscape that is says this, but according to them somewhere, Cedar Point is planning on keeping Ocean Motion operating next season, but dismantling it and putting it in Demon Drop's former spot. I know we shouldn't trust Screamscape, but maybe they know something.
Interesting, since in another thread somebody posted pictures of electrical flags and markings on the DD footprint.

I never rode Ocean Motion, but hey... you ride one Sea Dragon and you've rode them all. What they shouldn't have gotten rid of is Demon Drop. Man I'm still upset they sent that off. :(
Just went to dorney park, and it felt great to ride demon drop again. It just seems to be going up the shaft very slow now.
