Awesome. Because, we all know how unbiased and reliable those few are...

I would just like to say that CPBoy77 doesn't represent the views of anyone but himself, and please don't try and lump him in with all conservatives ;)

Well I can certainly say he doesn't represent "us" liberals :-)~

Not sure why that would be funny to you. And seriously, the exclamation points and the 1's is such an old joke and unbelievably lame.

It's not funny to me. It's unbelievable that there are still people out there that take him, Billy O', Greta and Ann Coulter seriously enough to put that much faith in their "defending" someone.

I'm not looking for everybody to hold hands and sing Kumbaya. Hell knows I like to tweak the righties as much as the next fellow. But what I would like to get away from is the atmosphere of intolerance and ignorance that has permeated American politics the last 14 or 15 years.

The day after the election, an acquaintance said, off-handedly, that the country was now in the hands of a Muslim terrorist. She was not being facetious. And this was a person that I previously had considered to be fairly intelligent, somebody who kept up with the news and had an informed opinion.

Why can't we just agree to disagree without resorting to childish name-calling? The crisis we're all in now, we're going to have to figure out how to get along if there's any chance of getting out of this mess.

I've heard it all too, Mike. It's frustrating enough that I've just stopped caring.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens. I'm pretty certain we'll be just fine, and in 6 or so months, no one will even remember half of the things they're talking about now.

I'm a bit more concerned with assassination attempts after hearing of similar situations Ensign... I live in a predominantly African American urban area, as many others on here do also. We don't need more unrest as a result of some mentally challenged idiot who might act on the idea.

Not holding my breath. Six months from now, Rush and Bill and Sean will probably be spouting about how Barack murdered a childhood friend, or how he is secretly sleeping with Nancy Pelosi.

Nancy Pelosi?... Surely he'd go after a much better looking vixen than that Mike... LoL.

Yeah, I heard Condi's been looking for some strange...

Oh ok, so it's fair to blame Bush for everything and name call at him but it's not ok to question Obama on his radical associations??

CPboy, its time to be quiet. Dont worry, in a few months the left will realize that Obama is not in fact composed of rainbows and teddy bears.

I just hope that Pres. Obama is the guy who gave all the speeches this year, and not Senator Obama with his voting record. Heres hoping for a moderate President that does not rubber stamp everything sent to him by congress. Also, heres hoping for a good president, because we havent had one in 20 years.

That being said, Im seriously worried about what exactly the democrats are going to do in power, because I hate when one party runs the legislative and the executive branch. Usually this is a recipe for the radical wing of that party to take over and drive this country into the ground. Being more of the conservative mindset, Im worried that some of the radical parts of his platform might be passed and that they could very well bankrupt this country. But, he has said he will be a moderate, so there is some hope; I sincerely hope he inst telling a lie.

Finally for the record, if I knew he was going to have a republican congress I probably would have voted him.

And there we are, my one political post on this board.

Edit: Dont know why I didnt notice the spell checker before, its my life line. Anyways, fixed now.

Last edited by Touchdown,

I just heard the starter announcement from the local Rodeo get yelled.... "and they're off!!!"

I think you just ended up in the corner and the longhorn is coming your way CPboy77... might be best if you get out of the ring whilst you can still walk dude.

Touchdown, that was a fine example of a reasoned, articulate*, and above all civil stating of a conservative opinion about Obama and the Democrats. Others could learn from your example.

*(although you might want to use spell-check once in a while, dude.) ;)

Oh come on, O'Reilly is the least biased one on TV. I can't stand watching CNN, MSNBC, etc. because how biased they are. O'Reilly gives both sides of the story.

I hope Obama is successful. And even though I didn't really want him, he has my respect.

Are they digging up political stuff over by scrambler or is this thread way off topic?

Closed topic.
