Given that the trench heads straight toward the new office building, I think it's pretty safe to assume it's not a ride.

McCain is the original maverick!! They would bury him over by Maverick, of course!

Are you serious about Palin 2012 in your signature? Dear god the conservatives need someone like Reagan, not another failed ticket in 2012.

Naw, let her run I say... will make it easier to defeat them a second time around! :-)

Gee, I didn't know this thread was about my amazingly good siggy.... That's right PALIN 2012!!

I'd be highly opposed to her running again. If Palin was nominated in 2012, it would finish the self-implosion of the Republicans as a viable party. That would be unfortunate, because the Democrats need some worthy opposition to help keep them straight.

You know she does have an 85% approval rating up in Alaska... She obviously does well.

W used to have a decently high approval rating, too. Look where that got him. Just sayin'.

Be a Republican, support McCain if you want, but support Palin? Geesh she was the worst thing to ever happen to the Republican Party and most Republicans would agree. If you can not admit she is a complete disaster then your are illustrating the very thing that is wrong with the GOP. Anyone hear the stories that are coming out from the McCain campaign? She didn't know Africa was a continent not a country!

I like home made cookies... i'm making some now as a matter of fact... Speaking of Facts :-) - Reports state Palin didn't know Africa was a continent.... Isn't that basic elementary school geography? We used to have those spinning ball shaped things called globes... I wonder if she ever had one as a child?

Jesz's avatar

According to this, those statements about her were not true. I mean come on, even my 7 year old cousin knows the different between a country and a continent. People take whatever they hear and twist it. I am sure she knew the difference.

"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"

Just because she "denounces" them as lies, doesn't mean they weren't true.... The very fact that such a insignificant issue got reported lends a certain level of possible truth to the situation. If they really wanted to lie and start rumors - one would think it would have been a major one such as a sex scandal etc...

Yet Biden not knowing who was President during the depression and when TV was invented is ok? Yet all the associations Obama had for years were ok?
If that had been McCain or Palin forget it!

How the GOP ended up with McCain is beyond me. I was hoping for Guiliani myself. I am disappointed by all the crap in this election.

Obama is now our President and as such he will recieve all the respect he deserves from me. Our military will fight for him, and I will stand behind him.

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?

Well, I hope the GOP and conservative movement in general realizes that these 'Moderate' or left-leaning candidates can't win, and furthermore piss off the base or true conservatives. Guiliani would have been a better pick, but he wasn't the one I wanted. Ron Paul was a bit out there, but I do like the general ideas he has. I would have liked to see Romney, but nobody seemed to like him.

Oh well, it is what it is now.

I still don't see how Palin in 4 years will be a good pick. She's not what the conservative movement needs.

I also love how it happens that anything other than pure conservatism, 100% right-wing thoughts are ZZZOMG COMMUNIST!!

What happened to people thinking for themselves?

No, it's exactly the opposite that's a problem. There is no widespread or popular "movement" that would ever score them majority support from the electorate. Dogmatic subscription too far in either direction is a disaster because the reality of life is that a great many solutions to the world's problems lie somewhere in the middle. The more complex the problem, the more likely that solutions to various components come from all over the spectrum. I think people get that.

Its a new lemon chill stand!

Or wait...its a political argument! Give it up guys. Obama and Biden won. Palin likes to shop, and McCain is old.

Don't blame me... I wrote in Ron Paul.

The Republicans need to move more towards libertarianism and actually do what they say they will. Bush ran on a platform of no nation-building and cutting spending and he turned around and lied to us just like every other politician. I've been trying to remain optimistic, but I think it's safe to say we're totally screwed, in part because of the ignorance of the American people.

TedFuzz. No longer manually signing posts. Too bad. =(
