The "XL" in Magnum XL 200

I belive it is for "eXtra Large".... The Coaster Brochure Cedar Point makes every year says... ".... The hills on Cedar Points roller coasters range from small to XL(as in the famed Magnum XL 200)"

It's both.
Magnum XL is actually a type of aircraft engine... not sure what the XL means though :-|
That's interesting
You can buy your own Magnum XL!

2001 Force- 247  Magnum-431
Gemini- at least 100
"MF has broken down and still hasn't been fixed, consider kicking Joe out of the park"

I thought it was X-tra Large...as in extra large coaster.

When Magnum opened, CP said that the XL stood for extra large. The Magnum also signified a large size, and the 200 of course referred to the height.

Sadly, I am old enough to remember that far back.

So it's either
1.Magnum Extra Large 200
2.Magnum -Excel 200
3.Magnum XL, faster than a Magnum XL aircraft engine can take you.
4.Magnum 40 200 (XL is 40 in roman numerals by the way! :))

For some reason I think #1 sounds kind of hokey. Must be just me, I am weird :).

I like #4. 40 as in a large amount of beer. In this case its a 40 oz of coaster. :-D

Common sense would point to number 1...

MF count: 20

I beg to differ... I think that common sense would point to number 2.

You can beg all you want, but I won't differ. ;)

MF count: 20

I always thought it meant Extra Large. Magnum Extra Large 200.
