The webcams have been removed from cedarpoint.com The www.cedarpoint.com/online-fun/webcams is gone and the link to the webcam page has been removed from the drop down menu. If you try to go to the webcam page it redirects you to their front page.
Edit: I had said the webcams themselves were working, but they've frozen.

I'm I the only one that is not surprised about the webcams being turned off for testing? Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this SOP for new attractions at the Point.
Then again, just gives a new topic for the people with no lives refreshing the web cams every 5 seconds to gripe about.

Based on Tony's reaction, I think it's safe to assume it was intentional. Probably to do with this:

But if it happened with Maverick too (I had forgotten that), then I'd say it's no coincidence it happened just as it appears as though testing was about to begin.
or just like everyone else is saying, they are down because they are testing gatekeeper

No trees were harmed in the sending of this message, but a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
And taking them down or turning them off just so the public (who will be riding it in a month) can't see an empty train running on the track, serves what purpose ?? Is testing really that big of a secret ? Perhaps it falls (for reasons I just can't seem to grasp) under the category of "top secret, vital info" that dare not be leaked.
I was super before Super Stew was cool !
I agree it seems silly to turn the cams off during testing, but I'm sure they have their reasons. Even if the only reason is to torment the handful of enthusiasts who spend all day watching them, so be it.
It's not like it's a new policy. The webcams facing the new ride have gone dark around this time of year for as far back as Wicked Twister. Probably did for Millennium too.

No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
DJ, you know you're not suppose to quote the previous post :)
And yes it matters AND is totally relevant .. I want to see the damn testing ! That's all that should really matter......
No, actually, I could care or less. Like I said, I'll be riding it in a month anyway. The fact that the webcams are down at all is what's irrelevant.
